1 CHIMNEY INDIAN RESTAURANT1. Executive SummaryThe use of proper technique and process of project management helps in efficiently managingand completing any undertaken project. "Chimney Indian Restaurant” operates at Rotorua, oneof the chief tourist attractions in New Zealand. It has been identified that due to the extremecompetition and lack of online presence has resulted in the degrading sales and customer base ofthe restaurant. Therefore, a project has been considered for increasing the sales of "ChimneyIndian Restaurant” with enhancement of the online presence of the restaurant. This reportdetermine the new and justification for the undertaken project. In addition to that, the scope anddeliverables identified in this report; allowed in the proper development of the methodology andproject plan. Further, the required deliverables of the project has been identified and analyzedbased on the developed objectives. Introduction Located at one of the most attracted tourist destination, Eruera St, Rotorua, Eruera St,Rotorua, “Chimney Indian Restaurant” has failed to attract customers for increasing the sales. Inspite of the various food varieties and cosy decor, the restaurant lacks the market position. In thisproject, a detailed study has been conducted for evaluating the market position of “ChimneyIndian Restaurant” and current trends among the customers. 3. Project justification 3.1. Need for the projectRotorua is one of the popular tourist destinations is crowded with several restaurants fortargeting both the local customers as well as tourists. Due to the presence of several restaurants,"Chimney Indian Restaurant” finds it hard to attract customer for increasing the sales. In additionto that, the presence of two different Facebook pages has created significant confusion amongthe customers for gaining correct information. Therefore, developing a new website andengaging in engaging in e-marketing would help in retaining the customer base and improvetheir sales. In addition to that, improving the online presence of the restaurant would help inincreasing the publicity among the tourists and local customers.
