The paper mainly reflects on the development of asset management system in airport. It is found that earlier in the absence of asset management system, the airports face number of issues and challenges in providing proper operating facility of equipment as well as clean facility. In addition to this, they also face challenges due to high downtime of the users. Moreover, the other problems like higher cost, legal liability, enhanced risks as well as problems like difficult negotiation are considered to be challenging.

1. Project background
The paper mainly reflects on the development of asset management system in airport. It
is found that earlier in the absence of asset management system, the airports face number of
issues and challenges in providing proper operating facility of equipment as well as clean
facility. In addition to this, they also face challenges due to high downtime of the users.
Moreover, the other problems like higher cost, legal liability, enhanced risks as well as problems
like difficult negotiation are considered to be challenging. In order to resolve this issue, it is quite
important to rely on key assets management system including maintenance as well as pavement
management system as well as ERP software for maximizing thee resources as well as reducing
the downtime of the users. Moreover, the utilization of assets management system helps in
tracking the maintenance cost by preventing as well as predicting asset failures by improving the
labour productivity.
2. Purpose of the project
The main purpose of using the asset management system in airport is to maximize the
resources by reducing the user’s downtime. It is found that with the help of asset management
system, the airports can be able to reduce the expenditure of cost by increasing productivity as
well as by minimizing the costs ownership across the life cycle for optimizing the utilization of
available budgets. It is found that both reliability as well as proper safety based improvements
with the utilization of data driven management assists in properly predicting as well as
preventing as opposed in order to find and fix. Moreover, increased insurance helps in proper
planning as well as decision making procedure for clear accountability, responsibility as well as
due to the capability of properly recovering from the disruption event. In addition to this, it also

helps in improving the service of the customers by enhancing on time performance as well as
predictability of travel experience.
3. Expected project outcomes
The expected outcomes that are achieved after the implementation of assets management
system within airport is generally illustrated below:
Manage airport assets efficiently: It is found that asset management solutions generally
help in tailoring the airports that mainly includes analytics that further assists in providing proper
integrated approach in order to manage discrete as well as complex assets. This is generally
helpful in overcoming the issues and challenges that are rooted with the infrastructure for brining
unity to the disconnected system of the airport. In addition to this, it is found that asset
management help the airports in reducing the risk of disruption while providing proper improved
experience. Effective management as well as maintenance of the airport asses generally helps in
optimizing the use of operational efficiency for minimizing the expenses.
Predictive maintenance of the airport performance: Predictive maintenance solutions
generally has the ability of gathering as well as analyzing data about asset operations for moving
from corrective for preventive maintenance. This generally assists in minimizing the downtime
by improving the decision making as well as extension of life assets. The airport IT help desk as
well as ticketing procedure are generally managed successfully with the help of standalone
service management system which makes it quite difficult to determine the issue that was related
with hardware.
Cost saving: The asset management system helps in maintaining the infrastructure that

4. Methodology to be adopted and project schedule
Agile project management methodology is mainly utilized for implementing the assets
management system for the airport with proper project outcome and deliverable. It is quite
necessary for the methodology to properly focus on the project by investigating on the strategies
that is generally adopted for achieving the project objectives. It is found that agile project
management methodologies are mainly utilized as it generally helps in eliminating the chances
of the project failure by minimizing risks as well as helps in enhancing control on the project.
Moreover, agile development is mainly integrated during the cycle that reflects that regular
check-ups are generally done during the development procedure of the project. In addition to

6. Ethics related to the project
The various types of ethical issues that are mainly associated with the project are
generally elaborated below:
Conflict of interest: As it is found that number of staffs are mainly associated with the
project thus there is high chance of interest conflict within the project and thus it generally can
cause number of ethical issues and challenges. Thus, it is quite important for the managers to
properly understand the various standards that are related with the company for minimizing the
level of conflict.
Health and safety concerns: Pressure is quite high within the project and as a result if
the team members are pressurized to work extra after their office hours then it can be considered
as one of the major ethical issue. In order to resolve the problem, it is not necessary to pressurize
the employees.
Workplace culture: Workplace is one of the respectful place which is not considered to
be proper and thus, it can create number of problems. Thus, proper acceptable culture should be
properly maintained within the organization for successfully performing the project work and for
minimizing the various types of ethical issues as well as challenges in the project.
