2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. An overview of the scenario
This project report reflects the role of professional project management practices that are
needed to be widely followed by the project manager and project team members to ensure its
success. The case scenario is about relocation of a family of a two adults Jeff and Kelly along
with their 2 children Will aged 7 & Lexie aged 12, a car and their dog named as Buddy. Jeff has
recently secured designation of a marketing director interstate and currently mainly for the job
purposes the family is interested to shift to Perth from their current location the Sunshine Coast,
Qld. Currently the rental apartment where they are living is two bedroom in Maroochydore and
the new apartment which they have already rented is a four bedroom suburban house in Perth.
The new job of Jeff will be started on 5the February, 2018 and the school session of their
children is going to commence on Wednesday 31th January, 2019. However, they have to vacate
their house on 20th January, 2018 in middle the one year they have to rent anther small house
nearby on the Sunshine Coast, Qld due to their children school. They have no relatives living in
on the Sunshine Coast, Qld therefore, rent is the only option left for them. Their expected budget
is $15,000 within which they have to accomplish the project. A details project WBS, including
milestone and activities are elaborated in this report to make the project must transparent and
visible.

3PROJECT MANAGEMENT
2. The criteria and assumptions used to prepare the milestone plan and task
list (WBS)
2.1 Criteria
The list of criteria must be maintained while implementing this project includes the
following:
The time between leaving the current location and final shift to Perth Jeff and
Kelly should rent a house nearby Sunshine Coast, Qld
The newly rented apartment should have good location with adequate transport
communications
The neighbours are needed to be enough friendly
There should have availability of healthcare units for both human and pets with
medical stores
The project is required to be completed within the estimated budget of $15,000
The total time within which the project must be accomplished is estimated as 20th
January, 2018 and 31st January, 2018
2.2 Assumptions
As soon as the family relocation case scenario is analyzed it has been determined for
accomplishing the transfer a successful project the project associates are required to play serious
attention on each and every undertaken activity. For this specific project triple project constraints
have been chosen in terms of time, cost and scope. It is the responsibility of the project manager
to ensure that its scope is meeting the goals and objectives within one year of estimated time
