INTRODUCTION Project management is referred to as the planning and execution of the project for the success completion of the project (Allmendinger and et.al., 2017). This is very essential for the company to have effective planning of the project because if the planning will not be good and effective then the same will not be good then the whole project will not start in proper manner. The current project is relating to development of treatment for the people suffering from the pressure ulcer. The pressure ulcer affects the underlying health condition of the person generally with high level of frailty. The project will outline the use of continuous pressure monitoring technology to identify hot- spots of pressure generated. This project is initiated by Peninsula Community Health and will majorly focus on older people living within the community of Cornwall. This project will also focus over the continuous pressure monitoring and is coupled with patient and carer education as well. TASK 1 Business case of project Introduction/ Background In the current world most of the people are very health conscious and are very attentive towards their health and safety. This is the main reason behind the continuation of this project. This is pertaining to the fact that the diseases are large in size and it is very essential for the people to have measures of treating the diseases. Out of this the most common disease with which almost half a million people in UK are suffering and developing is the pressure ulcer. Most of the pressure ulcer is developed within the person from the home only and this has high average in elder population. Several patient shared that the use of pressure relieving equipment is not comfortable as they are hot and noisy. Thus, there is need of developing a good system of monitoring the pressure ulcer. 2.0 Business Objective “To organize of ways of dealing with the problem of pressure ulcer in the older people living within the Cornwall.” 3.0 Current Situation and Problem/Opportunity Statement
In current the companies are trying to develop some of the technology and monitoring system for the protection against the pressure ulcer. But these pressure monitoring technology is used in order to identify the hot- spots of the pressure which is generated when the patient sit in a single position for long period of time. The opportunity in this is that the innovative technology can help people in identifying the pressure ulcer risk at the earliest and this allows the patient to adjust and maintain their position in accordance to that position. This will relieve the person from the pain and problem which they face when they sat in a single position for a longer period of time. In the current project it is anticipated that 18 month time period and 50 patients will be focused and recruited for the study. 4.0 Critical Assumption and Constraints Assumption The major assumption taken for the project is that all the people are suffering from the same level of pain and problem. This is assumed because of the fact that this assumption will help the people in assessing the fact that the treatment will also be same for the entire patient as the level of pain is same. Another major assumption is that the treatment of the pressure ulcer will be measured with the investigating changes in the size of the ulcer and its formation. Also, in addition to this the time of nursing and the level of carer engagement in the ulcer prevention will be considered. Constraints The one of the most important and crucial constraint in this project is the fact that every person is different and their needs are also different. Thus, it is not necessary that what is good for one patient will also be good for the other patient. Hence, this restricts the treatment of the patient in good and effective manner. Another major constraint in the treatment of the pressure ulcer is the implementation of the technology within the use of treatment of ulcer. This is majorly pertaining to the fact that the technology is hard to implement as this involves a high cost of implanting the system within the treatment of the patients. Thus, this might restrict the treatment of pressure ulcer or might involve some restriction. In addition to this another major constraint is the technology and its knowledge and this

is due to the fact that even if the technology is being implanted then also training need to be provided to the carer and if they will not be able to understand the technology in proper manner then this might cause some problem in the treatment. 5.0 Preliminary Project Requirements Objective and mission- this is the most important requirement for the project because if the objective and mission will not be clearly stated then the people will not know that how they have to operate the patients and take care of them. Thus, this is the most essential requirement for project manager to ensure that every person has clarity for the goal that is to be attained. Management structure- this is the most important requirement for the success of the project. This is because if the management will not be good then the project cannot be executed in good and proper manner. Also, the people working in this project need to make sure that there is proper clarity of work and all the roles and duties are assigned in proper and effective manner. Legal requirement- this is also an important requirement for the project as this includes the entire legal requirement which need to be fulfilled by Peninsula Community. The legal requirement is necessary because this include the risk of life of a person. Thus, the company must ensure all the legal formalities relating to the life of patient. Finance- this is also an important requirement for the success of project because without finance no single work can be done. The finance or the money is the most important thing for the operation in the project as this will not be attained if enough money is not there. 7.0 Budget Estimate and Financial Analysis Estimated Budget is $50,000 9.0 Potential Risks Contractual risk- this is the most important risk which is faced by the company. This is majorly pertaining to the reason that there are many contracts which is signed with many different third parties. Sometimes there are many risks which might be faced by the Peninsula Community in managing the different client. Technological risk- this is also a major risk which is being faced by the company in implementing the technology within the project. This is because of the reason that the
technology is necessary to be used in the treatment of the patients. Security risk- this is also another major risk which may be faced by the company in the execution of the project. This is because the life of the patient is at risk and it is necessary for the project manager to ensure that the entire patient and their information are safe and secured. TASK 2 Mendelow matrix The stakeholder is the one who are interested in the working and development of the project. These are the people who are working on the success of the company and the project in such a way that the project gets successful and the stakeholder gets what they need to attain (Hoobler and et.al., 2018). The mendelow matrix is the one which help the project in analysing the different stakeholder groups and this is done on the basis of power and interest which they hold on the project. This is very essential for the project manager to have defined all the power and interest of all different stakeholders because every stakeholder has different set of power and interest within the project and it is necessary for the project to take care of all the needs of the stakeholder. This is necessary because of the reason that if the stakeholder will not be satisfied and if their interest will not be attained then they will not work in proper and effective manner. Hence the working of the project might be affected and for this it is essential for the company to satisfy the interest of all the stakeholders. In accordance with the Mendelow matrix the stakeholder aredivided in four different categories that is the one which is having high power and high interest, second is high power low interest that is keep satisfied. The third one is the low power and high interest which is keep informed and the last one is the low power and low interest which is monitor. In accordance to this matrix the four stakeholders being identified are project manager, project sponsor, resource managerandtheprojectteammember(EybersandHattingh,2018).Theseentirefour stakeholders are the major stakeholder for the success of the project and their power and interest are different in the project. The major responsibility of the project manager is to manage all the different activities being undertaken in the management of the project. This is because the manager is the one who ensures that the right activity is being allotted to right person having needed skills and knowledge. The power and interest of the project manager is both high and these need to be managed closely for the success of the project. Another major stakeholder of the project of pressure ulcer is the project resource allocator and the major responsibility of this stakeholder is of the allocating the resources to the different activities which are being undertaken in the project (Schaltegger and Wagner, 2017). The resources are very less and these need to be used in wise and optimal manner. Thus, the

power of the resource allocator is high but they not have much interest in the project. This is because of the fact that their major responsibility is to allocate the resources in optimal manner so that the project gets successful. Thus, they come in the category of keep satisfied as they do not have much interest in the project so they are satisfied with the working in the project (Shanafelt, Goh and Sinsky, 2017). The other stakeholder that is project sponsor are the one who invest in the project and finance the project so that its entire requirement can be met and this comes under the category of low power and high interest that is keep informed. This is because the interest of the sponsor is of success of the project as they are investing the money in it but they are not given much power within the project. The last stakeholder is the project team and these are the most important stakeholder as these are the people who actually work on the project and its completion. The team of the project is the most important stakeholder but comes under the category of monitor that is low power and low interest under the Mendelow matrix. This is majorly pertaining to the fact that if these stakeholders will not work in proper and effective manner then the project will not be successful. Thus, the success of the project only depends on the people who are working on it (Whelan and Fink, 2016). If the team will not be made in effective and efficient manner and if talented and knowledgeable people are not there in the project then the project will not be in the manner as it is intended.
Stakeholder Analysis Theentirestakeholdershavedifferentroleandresponsibilitieswithintheproject completion and thus, this depends over the power and interest they have in the project. The major responsibility of the project manager is to assign the roles and responsibilities to the other people working on the project. Also, this includes the management and coordination of all the work and activities being assigned and carrying on in the project. On the other side the major responsibility of another stakeholder that is project sponsor is to provide for the money and finance in order to manage the operations taking place in the project (Elsaid, Salem and Abdul-Kader, 2017). The major role of the sponsor is to give money in the project and its successful completion only. The other stakeholder is the resource allocator and the major responsibility of the allocator is to allocate the resources to various department of the project. This resource allocation is very essential because of the fact that the resources are very less and if it is not used in optimal Keep Satisfied RESOURCE ALLOCATOR Manage Closely PROJECT MANAGER Monitor PROJECT TEAMKeep Informed PROJECT SPONSOR Power Interest Low LowHigh High
manner then this can have problem in success of the project (Elsaid, Salem and Abdul-Kader, 2017). TASK 3 Risk assessment of the project In the management and completion of the project there are many different types of risk which are being faced by the company. This is majorly because of the reason that the project is continued in the environment which is very dynamic and changing in nature. Hence, there can be many different types of risk which can be faced by the company. The risk is the uncertain or contingent situation which may occur and this may involve or occur because of some future happening. The major project deliverable is the quality of the service to be provided to the patient or sufferer of pressure ulcer. This is the major deliverable because if the quality service will not be given to the patient then they will not like the treatment and it is possible that the project fails. Another major deliverable is the cost and this is the deliverable because this cost is being charged to the consumer or the patient coming to the place and it is very essential for the project to assess the right cost and to charge it in proper manner to the consumers (Amin, Kamal and Sohail, 2016). The assessment of risk is very much essential because of the fact that if the risk will be assessed in advance then this will help the project manager to find out ways of managing and mitigating the risk. Also, there are many different stages in the risk assessment and these needs to be followed by the project manager at time of completing the project. The first step is identifying the hazard that is to identify all the activities which may result in some problem and then the next step is to decide the harm which that activity can do on the project and its completion. The next step is to assess the risk and then to take action for the mitigation or removal of the risk. Further the last step is to make the record of the risk so that in future it can be reviewed for the future project and references. The major mitigation strategy for the minimization of the technological risk is to give proper education and training to the employees and people working on the project (Akgün, 2020). This is a mitigating strategy because the training will help the people in learning on how to use the technology for the treatment of the pressure ulcer. Also, this training will help the

people in learning the fact that how the technology can assist and make the work and problems of the patients easier to be solved. Another major risk which was seen was the security risk and for mitigating this risk the most important thing is to sign a no objection certificate from the patient (Lai, Hsu and Li, 2018). This is necessary because of the fact that when the Peninsula Community Health to have some proof or safety against the treatment of the patient. Thus, this will have evidence against the security of the life of the person getting treated under the project. The major dimension of the risk assessment and management and mitigating the risk is to manage the contractual risk. This is important because of the fact that if the contracts are not managed in proper and effective terms then the working will not be good and effective (Bjorvatn and Wald, 2018). Also, the proper contracts bind the people in managing the work in proper manner and this will also motivate the people in working in effective manner. Also it is recommended to the Peninsula Community Health it is very essential to the companies to have effective use of contract and these contracts must be made in clear and effective manner. There need to be clarity of work because of the fact that the contract make it clear that what all are the obligation of the project and what need to done by the other people in case of any mishap or emergency. Also, this risk assessment also requires some of the legal and non- legal problems as this includes the major risk that is risk of life of the person. This is because here the patient comes for the treatment of pressure ulcer and also there can be risk of life of person. Hence, it is very essential for the project manager and other team member to have in advance all the legal and non- legal steps being ready. This is necessary because of the fact that this will help the project to handle any of the problems being faced because of any of the discrepancy or in case of emergency. TASK 4 Project team development and structuring the project The development of the project team and proper structure is very essential for the project manager. This is essential because of the fact that the project initiation requires a lot of decision to be taken. The most important thing is the formation of the team and this is the most important thing because of the fact that if the team will not be formed in proper and effective manner then this will affect the productivity and success of the project (Guttenberg, 2020). The team of the
project includes the people who will work in the development and completion of the project in successful manner. For the success of the project the team is being formulated by using the method of Tuckman team development theory and under this first the team is formed that is the first stage is forming. Under this stage the people who will be working on the same project are grouped together (Coulon, Barki and Paré, 2019). The next stage is the storming and under this stage the group members are allowed to talk to each other so that they gets familiar with one another and this is important because this help the people in having interaction among them. Another stage is norming and under this the rules and regulation are being formed by the team leader and this is important because of the fact that this will give a guidance to the team members that how they have to perform their work. The last stage is performing under which the team actually perform the activities which are required to be performed in order to attain the objectives of the business. Event with addition to the formation of team another important thing is to clearly define the roles and responsibilities of the people working in a team. This is very much essential because of the reason that if the roles and responsibilities will not be clearly defined then all the employees will know what all work they have to do and perform (Natvig and Stark, 2016). Also, this clearly defined roles and responsibilities make it clear to the team members and there is no duplication of the work. And this ensures that all the employees or the team members make the work in proper and effective manner. Also, other than following the Tuckman team development theory the project manager also need to focus on the communication taking place among the team members. This is essential because of the reason that the communication is the only medium through which the people can share their views and information with one another. Hence, for the success of the project of treatment of pressure ulcer by Peninsula Community Health it is essential for them to promote clear and understandable communication among the people working on the project. It is so because of the communication will not be clear than they will not be able to understand talking of one another. Thus, this will hamper the working and treatment of the person. Thus, it is very much essential for the success of the project that the communication is in clear and unambiguous terms (Guinan, Parise and Langowitz, 2019). Also, this clear communication will ensure that each person understand the objective and aim of the company in the same manner which the project
manager need to make them understand. This is essential because of the fact that if the employees or the team member will not work in intended manner then the working will not be effective. Thus, this will not help the project to attain its aim of treating the people suffering from pressure ulcer. CONCLUSION In the end from the whole study it is summarised and evaluated that project management is very essential for the success of the whole project. This is majorly pertaining to the fact that if the project will not be managed in effective and efficient manner then the project will not be successful. Thus, the present report stated the project making of the Peninsula Community Health which is trying to find treatment of pressure ulcer. Thus, the report stated that business case first in which it discussed about the assumption and constraints of the business. Further it also discussed about the different risk being faced at time of the execution of the project. Also, it highlighted the stakeholder in accordance with the Mendelow matrix and this grouped the stakeholder on basis of power and interest. Also, further the risk assessment was done and in that some of the risk mitigating strategies were discussed like giving training and education to the employees, clear contract and terms and condition and many other strategies. In the end the project team was developed with help of the Tuckman team development theory.
