INTRODUCTION
Project management can be defined as the process of leading team in order to achieve
goals and objectives within given time frame. There is need of following the project
documentation so that all the objectives are clear and the primary constraints are scope, time, and
budget (San Cristóbal and et.al., 2018). It helps to assign the roles and responsibilities to the
team members that help them to carry on the work in effective manner. It helps to use all the
available resources in effective manner for benefit of the business organisation. This report is
based on Salisbury House (SH) project. There is formulation of proper project plan that helps to
carry on the project effectively. The scope, budget, constraints and other important aspects are
mentioned. The evaluation of the stakeholders according to their power is also mentioned in this
report. It is necessary to follow all the steps in effective manner so that outcomes can be
achieved effectively.
MAIN BODY
About the project
The Salisbury house project is based on The University of Wales Trinity Saint David
(UWTSD) as they have acquired a new building block. They are planning to add new teaching
rooms in order to fulfil the demand of growing students (Armenia and et.al., 2019). The plan is
to start reception space, classrooms, lecturers’ office, administrative office students lounge,
kitchenette, and toilet facility. This block is near the main building of University located within
Kennington business park.
Project management plan
Project management plan involves goals and objectives and the specifies activities that
are undertaken in order to achieve the project within right time and budget. It is necessary to
carry on proper research so that overall success is attained (Chawla and et.al., 2018). The
timeline of the project must be fixed in the starting so that real success of the project is attained.
The use of resources in effective manner is important so that the company is able to attain
successful position in market. The important aspects of project management plan are mentioned.
Project goals

There is need of setting clear goals for project so that the project team is able to work
over them. The task here is to develop the building block for university so that more students can
study. The aim is to develop effective infrastructure for the university. The goals are as follows:
 To develop effective rooms for the students so that they can get right to education. Also,
to develop administrative offices for the staff members.
Project objectives
 To to create additional teaching room that helps to fulfil the ever-growing number of
students.
 To make adaptive classrooms in order to serve the students effectively.
More students are ready to take admission in the University. So, there is need to
developing additional building where more students can be taught. Requirement of administrate
office will be there so that overall work is managed. All the facilities will be provided to the
students so that they are able to learn properly.
Critical success factors
These are the factors that define the success of project. They are critical and it is
necessary to achieve success in the same so that the project is able to attain success. There
factors play a key role in measuring the success of the project and assist in performing the task
effectively (Hair and Sarstedt, 2021). They help to achieve the desired goals. Critical success
factors plays one of the vital role. As they ensures that the derived project got the success. In
regard to this below are the highlight of these success factors that assist in performing all the
operational activity more effectively. Moreover it facilitate in order to achieve the drive goal.

Project Scope
The scope of project is wide as the extra building development will help to provide
education to various students. Also there is need of developing effective infrastructure that helps
provide best place for the students to learn (Picciotto, 2020). The record of the students will be
kept in systematic manner and administrate office will also be formed. There is need of

completing the project effectively with planner time, cost and quality. It helps to carry on the
project in effective manner. They are mentioned below:
 Time: It is necessary to carry on the project within right time. It helps to adhere the
deadline and help the team to achieve goals and objectives in effective manner. If the
work is not competed within right time the project has to bear extra cost and the overall
work gets delayed (Tereso and et.al., 2019). All the work must be divided in smaller
activities so that the work can be completed in right time. There is need of effective
communication so that overall work is managed and within the deadlines. It will take
time of around one year to develop the building.
 Quality- It is necessary to take proper care of the quality at time of delivering the project.
It is necessary to maintain effective quality so that the project of education is completed
in effective manner. There is need of involving best quality inputs as they help to develop
the building effectively. The quality manpower is necessary to attain the overall goals of
the project.
 Cost- It is necessary to analyse the cost in starting of the project so that it is dilevered in
effective manner.

It is the assumed budget and approximate figures that show the amount in which the
project will be carried. There is need of working on these figures so that there is no problem in

carrying the project. So, it is necessary to identify these constraints so that the risk can be
reduced before the project is being initiated.

Stakeholder analysis
There is key role of stakeholders in a project. These are the people who have stake in the
particular project. Stakeholder analysis can be defined as the process of checking the power of
particular stakeholder in the project. It also helps to know about the interest of stakeholders in
the project. The participation level of the stakeholders are being analysed as per their interest in
the project. The discussion related to stakeholder analysis is done below:
High power, high interest: These are the stakeholders who have high interest in the
project and at the same time they have power to make decisions in the project. The have impact
on the functions and activities to influence the project results (Ika and et.al., 2020). The directors

and managers of the University are part of this matrix. The project team has to share all the
necessary information with these stakeholders and they have right to take all the necessary
decisions related to the project.
High power, low interest: It is next quadrant that includes the stakeholders who have
high power in the project but are less interested in the information of the project. Investors are
included in this category as they have more power in the project and at the same time they do not

want to know about each and every decision taken. All the important information regarding the
project is being told to these stakeholders so that there is smooth functioning.
Low power, high interest: This category includes the stakeholders who have low power
in the project but they have high interest. The suppliers of the project lie in this category as the
success of project is important for them.
Low power, low interest: This is the last category of stakeholders who have low power
and low interest in the project (Pan and Zhang, 2021). The employees and workers of the project
are part of this quadrant. They care about there payment and have no right in decision making.
Project organisation structure and rules and responsibility
Projected organisational structure
The project manager will distribute the roles and responsibilities to the project team
members. It is the work of HR to hire the workers who can carry on the project in right time. The
skills and capabilities of the employees are evaluated so that the project. They must be explained
roles and responsibilities so that the overall plan is implemented in effective manner. All the
employees should communicate effectively with each other so that the work is carried on time.
The proper communication plan is necessary to deliver the project by including all the workers.
The manager has to review the performance of the individuals so that proper check is kept on
them.
Project control mechanism
It is important to keep control on the mechanisms used to carry on the project. There are
certain changes that take place so it is important to have control over them. The following tools
will help to control the overall mechanism and they are as follows:
Work breakdown structure: There is need of dividing the overall work in small
activities so that the real task can be achieved. This helps to check the time and activity so that
all the smaller activities are managed in time (Chofreh and et.al., 2019). The deadlines must be
fixed so that the team members are able to carry on the work in appropriate manner. This helps
to achieve overall goal of the project.
Monitor the cost: There is key role of checking the cost of project so that approximate
budget is followed. The expenses must be reduces so that there is problem of over costing.

Risk management: The process of risk management helps to identify the risk that can
take place in the project. This helps to design mitigation strategies to achieve the tasks in
effective manner.
Risk management by monitoring all the tasks and activities effectively could assist the
manager in order to identify the risk that can impact the organisation plan. By creating effective
strategic plan could assist them to perform the contingency plan. Moreover it assist the manager
in order to timely mitigate the issues in order to ensure project efficiency. Some of the issues
could be budget planning and ineffective communication. And these issue scan rectify through
regular monitoring process.
Reporting framework
There is need of engaging the stakeholders and reporting to the right person so that
activities are completed within right time. The use of proper communication manages the work

There are several stages that must be followed by the University in order to achieve the
goals and objectives effectively. They are mentioned below:
Initiation: In this stage the idea of expanding the University is taken into consideration.
There is need of fulfilling the requirements of the rising number of students. The need of
reception, rooms, wash rooms, administrative offices are analysed here in this stage. The strength
of the students and the teaching staff required are analysed so that proper development can take
place.

Planning: In this stage proper plan and strategies are formulated that help to manage the
project effectively. There is need of involving all the stakeholders in the project so that they are
able to carry on the work effectively (Aanbari, and Kwak, 2018). There is need of developing
the guidelines so that all the team members are aware about their responsibilities.
Execution: The employees and all the stakeholder are aware about their responsibilities.
In this step all these employees execute their responsibilities and carry on the work. It is
necessary to take care of the actions that they take so that they are able to develop best building
for the University and the students.
Closure: The work is completed and the task is to close the project. The stage is related
with controlling so that appropriate objectives are achieved. Best results help to satisfy all the
stakeholders and develop the project in effective manner.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it is concluded that project management includes the steps that
helps the project team to carry on the objectives in effective manner. There is key role of
following all the activities so that project is carried in effective manner. In this report, there is
analysis of proper plan that helps to complete the project. The stakeholder analysis is also done
so that power of stakeholders and their interest is evaluated. There is need of following all the
steps and checking the risk so that mitigation actions can be designed. In the end the project
milestones and planning is evaluated.
