Introduction
Project Management could be determined as process of managing processes and
workforce towards accomplishment of a determined project. For instance, the meaningful
process of project management is majorly comprised of various different functions including
planning, development of strategies, implementation, and close-out. All these activities and
practices further facilitate in ensuring effective implementation of desired project in order to
achieve desired goals and objectives. In addition to that, primary aspects in project management
are comprised of creating project goals, managing risks, setting up standards for performance,
maintaining healthy communication. This report assessment will be comprised of essential
knowledge regarding the determined concept in context of The University of Wales Trinity Saint
David. Furthermore, it will be presenting various different elements associated with effective
project management practices (Kerzner, 2022).
Main Body
Project Brief
The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has established their additional block i.e.,
Salisbury House. For instance, this newly established building block of university is situated near
the main block of that particular University. In order to execute the process of project
management in an effective manner, infrastructure of the building block will take into account
for further evaluation. Therefore, it will ensure effective and efficient completion of the same in
order to contribute additional values towards respective business organisation.
Project Goals
The primary and major aim or goal behind the mentioned scenario lies in establishing
additional space for increasing number of students by providing them with more number of
rooms within University Campus.
Objectives
 To establish a building block within University Campus comprised of reception space,
faculty office, kitchenette, etc. in order to provide facilities to increasing number of
students.

 To carry out effective project management process in order to establish the desired
building block in such a manner that it fulfils needs and requirements of respective
University.
 To serve increasing number of students with sufficient amount of resource in order to
develop effective and efficient learning environment.
Critical Success Factors
It is basically referred to positive factors and aspects associated with a business
organisation which facilitates in ensuring success for that particular operation. In addition to that,
there are various success factors associated with respective university in carrying out the
mentioned project which are as follows:
 Upright executive support in execution of activities and practices.
 Presence of skilled and professional workforce that contributes additional values towards
the same.
 With consideration of clarity in business aims and objectives, it allows workforce in
being aimed at the same (Kerzner, 2018).
Project Scope
Referring to above mentioned information, establishment of a suitable building block is
the primary aim of the determined project in order to fulfil need and requirements of increasing
number of students or learners in University. There are various different essential parameters in
the determined project which are as follows;
 Time: The time incurred in completion of the mentioned project plays a crucial role as it
is directly connected with cost or budget of that particular business organisation. For
instance, the increase in time for completion of project directly influences cost incurred in
the same.
 Cost: Each and every project organised in a business have a certain amount of budget
which allows their administrative representatives to execute the project according to their
needs and requirements. In addition to that, it is developed according to their financial
ability of spending upon a particular project.
