I will thus be choosing two project management theories in order to evaluate Prince 2 and
PMI
The first method is PRINCE2
Prince 2 is known to be a full stack waterfall project management model that consists of
various types of principles and themes (Zawadzki, 2018). The model was created in the year of
1996 by the UK government for the IT projects startup which used the computer setups for better
telecommunication. The full form of the model is Project IN Controlled Environment the
methodology which is known to define the input as well as output of each and every stage
involved in the model. However the model can be both used by the IT and non IT projects.
Principles of Prince 2 includes (Continued business justification- Learn from experience-
Defined roles and responsibilities- Manage by Stages- Manage by Exception- Focus on Products-
Tailor to suit the project) as well as the themes includes (Business case- Organization- Quality-
Plans- Risk- change Progress) (Tomanek and Juricek 2015)

The project is also known to have seven stages or process which includes (Starting up a
project- Directing a project -Initiating a project -Controlling a stage- Managing product delivery
