INTRODUCTION
 Project management refers to the method of collaborating and
organizing whole project activities in disciplinary manner order to
complete it in preset time frame.
 Hoo Hing is a UK based Chinese supermarket which provides grocery
product to its customers in the store and also offers product home
delivery services to them. The company also owns restaurant which
provides best quality of taste to customers.

Defining project and its characteristics
 Project refers to the pre-planned set of activities which are required to
be executed in the fix period of time within particular cost and its
limits.
 In context to HOO HING which is a Chinese supermarket and provides
food and catering products to its customers in United Kingdom, its
project manager is working on the project of moving office. This
project is required to be finished in specific period of time and
effectively

Scope and Characteristics
 Uniqueness: Moving business from one location to another, aid HOO HING in
expanding its business market. It will also aid this firm in boosting sales
performance and generating profitability also.
 Resources: Since shifting business is not an easy process therefore, employers
of HOO HING are required to arrange adequate amount of funds, prepare
appropriate budget and make planning for further activities. It may help in

Planning: It is required by project manager and to understand actual requirement
of office move and then plan for the same effectively. As appropriate planning will
be beneficial in enhancing profitability of company.

manager who guides and monitor them at every phase in the process of its the
execution.

Scope of project: After shift of office place, it will increase scope of growth for
the company as it at new place new customer will be attracted towards products
and services of company. It will enhance sales as well as profitability of the
organization.
Stakeholders: Customers and employees are main stakeholder for HOO HING.
All the major decision are taken by top management in meetings.

Estimate time requirement: 2 months
Project requirement: Complete project of office shift requires appropriate
planning, its execution then evaluating of all the operational activities for
controlling it and further it is closed at last.
Required resources and budget: New property, office design, furniture, IT
and telecom system, updation in stationary, business card, marketing
material and website etc. Budget required approximately £ 15K to shift
office.

Risk: This project is concerned with many risk which are described as
below:
Schedule- There are chances that after shift employees will not be able
work in the new set time schedule.
Performance- It is riskier that organization will not be able to perform
effectively and it will not be productive for growth of firm.

Project interdependence: This indicates that capabilities of project which
are required to deliver effective project. Project inter dependencies are
categorized on three different dimensions such as sources, service areas
and type of capabilities which are interdependent in each other.
Manage the change control process: Change process defines that
identified changes are required to be adequate and checked before the
implementation of project. It is required by the project manager of
HOO HING manage whole change control process.
Report project status: This captures all of the operational activities, risks
and developments which are related to the project.
