Project Management Case Study of Transport for London (TfL)

This case study discusses the project management methodology, risk analysis, stakeholder analysis, and measurement for the road construction project of Transport for London (TfL). The study includes a Gantt chart, critical path analysis, and WBS. It also identifies various risks and their mitigation strategies. The stakeholder analysis highlights the interest and power of internal and external stakeholders. The study concludes with quality expectations, acceptance criteria, and quality specifications for the project.

INTRODUCTION
Project management is the use of specific knowledge, skills which deliver all the values
to the people. The present study is based upon the case study of transport of London (TfL)
which is seeking for undertaking the road construction. The study provides a methodology
chosen for the study and describe the time which is used for completing the project. Further,
define the risk that affect the project along with its mitigation strategies.
TASK 1
Methodology
Project methodology is defined as a system of practices which is used by project manager
to complete the project. In the context of present project, Waterfall is suitable because it assists
to complete the project in its phases that helps to meet the defined aim. The benefit of using this
method over other is such that it helps to speed up the entire project and cost effective. On the
other side, Silvius (2017) argued that it makes changes difficult and delay in testing after
completion makes the project is in risk.

Thus, the shortest time required to complete the project is 126 days by using path 2.

Through the above stakeholder analysis, it has been analyzed that internal and external
stakeholders are interested to the project but due to low power they did not work, but they
perform their best in order to meet the defined aim (Picciotto, 2020). Also, it helps to meet the
project to make it successful and with communication strategy, they can successfully complete
the road construction.

Measurement for the project
Quality Expectation: For this, project manager need to ensure that all the resources are high
quality and assists to meet the defined aim.
Acceptance Criteria: By using MoSCoW method, project manager completed the project and
accept the required resources for project.
Quality Specification: Specific quality testing must be performed that helps to meet the defined
aim (Ma and et.al., 2018).

Measurement to control: Regular meeting and monitoring needs to be done to improve the
quality.
CONCLUSION
By summing up above report it has been concluded that project management plays an
important role in the company and with the help of Waterfall as a project methodology helps to
meet the defined aim. Also, 126 is the shortest time which is required by the project manager to
complete the same. Further, there are many risk which can be faced by the project manager and
to overcome the same, there is a need to make actions.
