INTRODUCTION
Project management is defined as the procedure which is related to managing activities
related to project and and leading individuals to perform defined task in efficient manner for the
purpose of attaining determined goals of project or complete it on decided time period.
Managing team and lead their efforts in right direction is the essential for improving their
performance and productivity (Alam, 2019). The following report considers Transport for
London organisation which conducts its project of building houses and focus on completing
project work on time. It undertakes the project of developing sustainable greener, safer and
attractive road development. This report covers various potential risk that are associated with
project, project management methodologies and stakeholders of project. Furthermore, work
break down structure and quality expectation of customers are mentioned in this report.

Business Case
Executive summary
Project management is defined as the complex task that requires effective planning to
manage project efficiently. In this report Transport for London undertakes a road project that
create bus network across London. It is analysed from the report that for event and project
management time is the essential factor.
Reasons
Some reason of this road project are mentioned below:
 Reason of this undertaking project is to develop streets of London that attracts visitors as
well as prosper the beauty of city.
 To develop effective network of bus across London and focusing the aspect of
sustainability through developing greener and sales roads for travellers.
Expected benefits
 Benefit of project is to prevent accidents and enhance greenery which foster the health of
people.
 Reduce fuel consumption that protect environment and provide effective experience to
travellers and visitors.

Expected limitations:
 There is large amount of finance is requited to develop safe roads. Furthermore, more
technical and specialized knowledge ism requited that enhance overall cost of project.

Project time: 1 month 10 days
Project start: 30th December 2021.
Project ends: 12 January 2022.

Review will be done after 3-4 months.

Risks
 Maintenance cost of project occur higher than expectation.
 Objectives of project to develop sustainable road may not accomplish as per requirement.
For the purpose of attaining objective of project various project management methods are
implemented by the organisation (Cheung, and Cable, 2017). Waterfall technique is used by the
organisation to complete projects in most sequential manner. Transport for London design
construction testing deployment as well as maintenance.

Developing network diagram
Network diagram is defined as the effective as well as precise technique which reflects
different types of activities of project in sequential and specified manner. It helps project
manager to various activities and events of projects. It helps business to accomplish defined
goals and objectives of projects through developing connection between different activities of
projects (Chmielarz, and Zborowski, 2018). Transport for London creates network diagram that
represents all projects activities along with their respective timeline. Network diagram of

Stakeholder analysis is defined as the analytical tool or framework which is related to the
analyse power as well as interest level of stakeholders the analytical framework to analyse the
power and interest of stakeholders who are involved with organisation (Fernandes, and Araújo,
2019). Stakeholder’s helps business to provide funding, motivating employees and also plays
important role in take effective business decisions. Key stakeholders of the road construction

Town hall committee: These stakeholders posses high power and low interest in project

London due to provide huge amount of money to complete project activities in efficient manner.

Developing work breakdown structure and organisational structure
Work breakdown structure is considered as the efficient tool or techniques which is
adopted by the organisation classify and manage different activities of project in efficient
manner. It is structured and systematic process through which organisation divides all project
activities in smaller part to complete them in efficient manner (Ng, 2018). It helps organisation
to understand that which task need to perform on priority bases. WBS outlines range of different
task and activities in manageable manner.

Organisational structure: It is defined as the hierarchical pattern which is used by the
organisation to analyse the way how business operated its all operations for the purpose of
attaining goals and objectives. Through effective organisational structure, organisation analyse
needs and demands of resources at all level of organisation to accomplish goals. In
organisational structure, all roles and responsibility are properly segregates and it is determined
as how communication flow at different department of organisation (Oprins, Frijns, and Stettina,
2019). It is very important for project manager to meet all aims and objectives that are related to
