User Story is defined as a functionality that is needed by the users to meet some business
objectives from a particular solution. User Story mainly describes the need and want of the
customer. Only after the product backlog, each user story is captured. User story gives limited
description about the system. The user stories that are good are small, testable, independent and
negotiable. There are many examples of user story that follows a particular template. The
sentence should start with the role of the user or the actor, continue with what the user or the
actor wants for what reasons. Examples of User story is “As a customer, I want to search for
laptops so that I can buy the laptop online.”

User Story defines the functionality and the features of the product. User Stories are
needed to complete the vision that is to be achieved at particular time. User Story mainly deals
with the need of the customer and what the customer wants. In compared to traditional
requirements, user stories are easy to remember. User stories that are good should be
independent, estimable, small and testable. There are two alternative way to write user story. One
template describes the user or actor role first, then the function or feature of the user and
continue with what desired result they can achieve. The second template of user story begins
with a situation, then what action it can perform and then gives the outcome of the action.
