Project Management Case Study: Rock-n-Bands Resource Optimization

This case study analyzes the project management of a reality show, "Rock-n-Bands." It begins with an initial project schedule, network diagram, and critical path analysis, revealing a 12-week timeline. The client's requirement of a 10-week completion is not initially met. The study then explores resource allocation to reduce the project duration to 10 weeks, satisfying the client. A revised schedule, Gantt chart, and resource allocation table are presented, highlighting the addition of resources to specific tasks. The case study demonstrates how effective resource management and timeline adjustments can lead to project success and client satisfaction, using a real-world example. Satisfaction of the client
The planners of the project “Rock-n-Bands” generally requires 12 weeks in order to
complete it successfully. However, the clients generally want to complete the arrangements
within 10 weeks that is 2 weeks before the festival. As the project activities are not completed
successfully within 10 weeks, the clients are not satisfied with the project. In order to satisfy the
clients, it is very much necessary to complete the entire project work within 10 weeks by
allocating resources properly within the project.
Answer to question number B
After proper allocation of resources, the expected timeframe of the client is met within
the project. It is identified that the entire project will be completed successfully within 10 weeks
as per the requirements of the client. The duration of the project after resource allocation is
reflected in the table below:

It is identified that the objectives of the client are successfully met.. The entire project of
Rock-n –Band is completed within 10 weeks that is 2 weeks before the festival in order to avoid

any type of problem or issue. The organization wants to employ at most 5 workers so that
maximum two workers can be engaged within an activity in order to execute it successfully
within the assumed time and as per the demand 5 employs are employed for executing the
project successfully.
