INTRODUCTION The report is based upon the raising fund for non profit organization named as Deaf- Aotearoa who supports the deaf community and report will describe the strength and weaknesses of the team and describe how the conflict is managed. Further, it show 4 phases of project control cycle and schedule performance index and cost performance index. 2 Presenting three strength of the project team The strength of my team is as mention below: Clear direction:It is the biggest strength because as we are work in a team and we always provide clear direction to each other. If sometimes I face any issue, I immediately contact with our teacher in order to make it clear. I also feel that through clear direction, we select the right path that helps us attain the success of the project. Open and honest communication:Another key strength that encourage me to work in a team. As our team have clear and free communication, even we done face to face meetings that helps to get more interactions. This key strength also helps to avoid conflicts and reach towards success. Motivates each other:My team members also motivates each others such that when any of us feel low or demotivated, we always cheer up and provide solutions. This strength also help to attain the aim and objectives, ensures the project success as well. 3. Three weaknesses of team Time management:This skill is the weaknesses of our team because we are not manage our time with the defines schedule and as a result, we were compromise with our project deliverables. Therefore, this weakness did not help to attain the aim and objective in specified time. In order to mitigate the weakness, team has to first set the task as per priority with deadline (set milestone) which helps to determine to identify the work importance. In this way, the project is completed (Harrison and Lock, 2017). Delegate task:Though we provide proper directions but we cannot delegate the task accordingly and that is why it is consider as a weakness. Such that, in a team roles and responsibilities are not delegated then it is affect the project success. In order to mitigate it, team member have to first interact with each other and determine strength of each one. This help to delegate the task according to their key strength. 1
Patience:In my team, the team-members have low patience which affect the overall project success. Such that they react instantly and it leads to create personal conflicts. In order to mitigate it, try to set positive environment and always listen others so that it will help to develop patience level as well. 4. Describe one instance where the conflict was apparent When we are discussing about our project, one of our team member suddenly start arguing other member related to his not providing regular updates related to project. Asresult, this conflict leads to strong deep discussion and as a result, it leads to personal conflicts as well. At that time, we uses collaboration conflict management strategy which is work by integrating the ideas that is set out by different people. Its main object is to provide better and creative solutions that is acceptable by everyone. In this strategy, other team members provide different ways that help to overcome the problem and as a result, this conflict management strategy will aid to control the conflicts and as it is acceptable by all, as a result, the conflict is resolved. 5. Describe four step of general model of project control cycle Four phases of Project control cycle are: Initiation:It is the first phase in which the project objectives is identified that should be attain by the team(Dalcher, 2019). Planning:If the project is approved then it move into next phase, where the team members properly schedule their work and by creating smaller goals the large project is achieved. Execution:In this stag, the plan turns into an action and project manager keep work on track, organize teams and ensures the work is done as per the original plan. Closure:It is last stage in which project manager determine the success of the project by release project resources. The chosen deliverable isMarketingand these four step is applied in this manner: Initiation:To collect the fund to support the deaf community, the there is need to use marketing as a deliverable. So that it will help to create awareness among people. Planning:For raising fund and create awareness, project manager has to make proper planning and thus, it will help to attain the aim. Further, the manger start making small goals that is for marketing, they use advertisement and council that help to creates awareness and support for deaf community (Cunningham and et.al., 2016). 2

Execution:In this stage, the project manager measured the performance in order to make sure the success. Such that design proper budget and determine whether the project will be completed in this or not. Further, project manager also creates task and organize workflows to meet the aim. Closure:In this, the success is measured such that through marketing, Deaf- Aotearoa is collect the fund to support deaf community or not and after that all the closure documentation is filed, as it reaches to final step. 6. Schedule Performance index and cost performance index Schedule Performance Index:It measure how close the project is completed as compared to the schedule. It is also known as the ration which is calculated by dividing the budget cost of work by planned value (Miguel, Madria and Polancos, 2019). SPI = Earned Value/ Planned value Cost Performance Index:It helps to measure the financial effectiveness and efficiency of the project and also represented the amount of completed work for every unit of cost spent. CPI= Earned value/ Actual cost The project manager uses SPI to estimate the future project performance. Such that if SPI is greater than 1, the project is ahead of schedule. While on the other side, if the SPI is 1, which means that the project is perfectly on spending the budget (Lipke, 2019). Therefore, this ratio will help the project manager for measuring the overall project and if the SPI is equal to one which means the project is exactly on schedule. Thus the earned value helps to monitoring, whether the project is on right track or not. 7. Explaining when crashing the project mainly focus on those activities which lie on critical path When crashing a project, the project manager only focus on those activities which are lie on critical path rather than slack time because it helps the project manager to reduce the duration of project and it is also essential to concentrate on reducing the critical path. On the other side, if the project manager focus on slack time then it increases the time duration of the project because Slack time helps to determine the factors that cause delay the project (Zareei,2018). That is why, at the time of crashing project, the project manager is able to calculate the optimum combination of resources increases the required to attain that shortened project duration. 3
In addition to this, the activities that lie on critical path have no slack and the critical path is the longest path that decides the project completion time. That is why, it makes sense to examine different components of the project that relies on the critical path in order to assess where crashing can be done. So that it will help to the reduce the project completion time as well. CONCLUSION By summing up above report it has been concluded that team have some strength that helps to attain the project and also concluded some strategies to overcome weaknesses. Further, report concluded 4 phases of marketing as a deliverable in order to establish effective project control. Lastly, report concluded SPI and CPI and concluded reason of only focus on critical path. 4
