3 PROJECT MANAGEMENT Project Report 1. Project Description According to the government study, it is observed that the Burnaby hospital needs expensive renovation and upgrade. It is observed that the cost of the upgrade will be too expensive to consider and therefore, it would be better to relocate the hospital. The project aims in construction of a new Burnaby hospital. 2. Project Purpose The project chosen aims in developing an entirely new Burnaby hospital as the cost of upgrade of the new hospital is estimated to be more expensive than development of an entirely new hospital. Therefore, the project aims in development of a new Burnaby hospital. 3. Business Case The proposed project is justified particularly because the cost of renovating the hospital is way more than developing an entirely new hospital. The current condition of the Burnaby hospital suggest that the hospital is in need of renovation. The increase in the problems faced by the Burnaby hospital authorities, staffs and the patients indicates that the hospital is in need of a redevelopment. 4.
