Answer to Question 1:
1. INCOS describes systems engineering as integrating all the disciplines and specialty
groups into a team effort forming a structured development process that proceeds from
concept to production to operation. Further that systems engineering considers both the
business and the technical needs of all customers with the goal of providing a quality
product that meets the user needs. (INCOSE 2012)? Please explain what the INCOS
definition means by using an example of a project in a large organisation you have
studied.
Answer to Question 1:
The term INCOS refers to intelligent techniques in Control, Optimization and Signal
Processing. This is a technique consists of an emerging approach with the ability to learn and
reason within an environment of imprecision and uncertainty (Barolli, Woungang & Hussain,
2017). This make the system capable of integrating various disciplines to form a structure for
implementing process for both the system as well as for the users. The techniques have the
applicability in energy system and power system ranging from pattern recognition, stability
tuning, decision making, parameter tuning, control, optimization and decision making.
