Quality Management Plan
For the construction of the proposed airport, there are certain quality aspects that need to
be fulfilled. The quality aspects and requirements for the project include the following.
Quality of Design – Before initiating the construction of the airport, it will be required to
design the overall the structure in the form of blueprint. For this purpose, various experienced
engineers will be hired. The engineers will need to ensure the design is of the highest quality and
will not cause complications or problems during construction (Meredith, Mantel Jr and Shafer
2017). While developing the design, various factors need to be considered including the size of
the property, maximum allowable height of buildings, minimum length of runways and others.
Quality of the Outcome (Airport) – While the quality of the design must be the best, the
quality of outcome needs to be of the highest quality as well. The proposed airport needs to have
specific components like terminals, waiting areas, control rooms, radars, runways, hangars and
others (Kerzner 2017). During construction, it is to be ensured that all requirements are fulfilled
with the best quality of the components designed and constructed.
Quality of Work – The quality of work done during the project needs to be of the highest
order along with fulfilling of specific standards and requirements. Only skilled and experienced
labour will have to be hired considering the nature and scale of the project.

2PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Procurement Management Plan
The entire project will involve considerable amount of procurement of materials,
equipments, vehicles and others. Hence, without proper procurement plan, proper planning of the
project cannot be initiated. The procurement plan to be followed are as follows.
Procurement of Materials for the Construction – Construction of the airport will require
tonnes of various materials like sand, concrete, bricks, iron rods, stone chips and others that need
to be delivered in phases throughout the entire duration of the project. Due to the extent of the
amount of the materials required, direct ordering and delivery of the materials will not be
sufficient for the project (Fleming and Koppelman 2016). In order purchase high amounts of the
materials, the procurement should be made in form of contracts. The standard contracting
process involving tender and bidding can be followed in which the best bidder with the most cost
effective deal will be selected for supplying the materials over the given period of time.
Procurement of Equipments and Vehicles – Equipments are generally supplied by the
construction company themselves and hence, no additional procurement is necessary. On the
other hand, the construction vehicles like crane, excavator, mixer and others are available for
loan on fixed price contracts (Fewings and Henjewele 2019). This procedure can be followed to
procure the number of vehicles required for the construction of the airport.
Procurement Strategy: There needs to be a suitable procurement strategy for the
project. This is to ensure the best quality materials are procured at the lowest possible costs.
Often, many companies opt to select low cost material contracts only without verifying the
quality of the materials supplied (Harrison and Lock 2017). As a result, the project faces
complications at the later stages and need to be changed or closed. Hence, for this project, it is
