INTRODUCTION
SWOT analysis defined as the strength, weakness, opportunity and thread. This analysis
is help to evaluate the company's strength, weakness opportunity and threat. In the aspect in the
market places which elaborate, what is the position of company and what are the threat which
affect or influence the company profitability (Sutrisno and et. al., 2016).
So as per this, the chosen firm is TESCO and we analyse, what are the strength,
weakness, opportunity and threats of TESCO in the market in a summarised way.
MAIN BODY
SWOT ANALYSIS
Strength-
Financial aspect: at a time in TESCO they are facing approx 6.4 billion loss in their
annual reports in 2015. and also operating cost about 1.9 billions in annual reports of 2020 are
being recovered.
Market share: TESCO is majorly establish in great Britain and their total market share is
about 26.9% of grocery market share (Campisi and et. al., 2018). And TESCO facing
competition with sainsbury which has market share about 15%. moreover, TESCO ruling like a
king in market.
Strong performance during COVID: Despite in this pandemic, singly TESCO make the
profit upto 11% in last three month up to September. The volume of total margin of profit from
TESCO process of selection which hire up 16000 people.
Innovation: TESCO have ability to produce new product and launch in market. The
innovation of new product have chance to get new customer.
Weakness-
Leadership changes: according to retail gazette, the change in TESCO industry which
have create some new changes that acquire new concept of leadership and formulate new
changes that built issues.
Quality control: TESCO do not focus on quality, but customer feedback and review
create a room fr improvement of product and services (Hu and et. al., 2019).
Shortage of product: to resist shortage due to immediate buying. TESCO get clarity to
customer that they have their stock in such a manner to complete the demand of customer.
