Related literature and secondary data Literature review Concept of workplace discrimination In accordance with the views and opinions ofCostanza and Finkelstein (2015), it has been analysed that workplace discrimination is the partial or biased behavioural conduct which is received by some individuals or groups within the company. Discrimination at work place may take place on the basis of any of the following aspects: caste, creed, gender, sexuality, nationality, country of origin, race, colour, disability and so on. The biased behaviour done with any employee or group on any of these bases would account for workplace discrimination. Several factors this influences performance of employees in TESCO As per the ideology of Clark (2017), it is determined that a number of factors impact over the performance and productivity of staff members. These factors are acknowledged to be corporate culture, reward management, recognition, working atmosphere etc. All of them play a crucial role in facilitating or hindering employees in giving their efforts for timely achievement of corporate goals and objectives. Relationship between workplace discrimination and performance of TESCO’s employees As perLandy and Conte (2016), there is an inversely proportional relation between employees’ performance and discrimination at work premises. This implies that whereby the discrimination at work premises increases, it tends to indicate a consequent reduction in the performance of employees at work. Secondary data: Researchers has made use of secondary data to carry out this project via the usage of book, journal, online article etc. Conclusion and assessment type As per the above discussion, it can be stated that workplace discrimination tends to reduce the productivity level of employees along with their potential to function. To effectively address this, companies are now required to render equal and fair opportunity to all the staff members in order to instil a sense of motivation within them.
