An overview of project idea.
The underlying project work is created on the concept on the how product packaging
influences the sales of an enterprise to generate more revenue. It has been found that packages
attract the attention of the consumer to the brands and influences the overview of the consumer
towards the product. Moreover, packaging also imparts the unique value to the product that
helps consumer to differentiate the product from their wide range. Thus, Packaging levers an
important role in marketing communication to influence the consumer buying decision. Tesco
has been chosen as the prior organisation for this project assessment.
Project aims and objectives
Research Aim:
The ultimate aim of this research is to identified the role of product packaging in
influencing consumer behavior to meet business sales. To identified the correct decision regarding the packaging of the product.
Research Objectives.
To evaluate the role of packaging on the company's market value.
To find out the importance of packaging in the sales of the product.
To determine whether packaging plays any role in promotion and protection of any
product.
Problem Statement
In the contemporary and competitive business the role of packaging has changed due to
adoption of rise of self service and changing consumer lifestyle. Hence, packaging plays a
significant role in influencing the buying decision to meet sales target. It is important for the
company to address the product packaging design as an crucial element in product planning &
designing.
