2PROJECT PLANNING AND BUDGETING
Part B – Scope and Time Management Plan
1. Definition of the project’s goals
The project is developed for the construction of a new facility for St. Dismas and their
450 bed facility for improving the existing functions. As opined by Snyder (2017), the project
would abide by the norms and principles for the development of the operations.
2. Project scope statement
According to Heldman (2015), the project scope statement for the ALF project of St.
Dismas case study consists of project scope description, acceptance criteria, project deliverables,
project exclusions, project constraints, and project assumptions.
Project Scope Description: The ALF project is developed for constructing the new
building for the St. Dismas with improved facility and equipments. The project scope description
is formed for analysing the impact of the development process for the project (Rose, 2013). The
new building would serve the development of the hospital and improve their activities. The
construction activities would allow the modification of the hospital and provide ample
opportunity for development.
Acceptance Criteria: The project acceptance criteria for the ALF project includes the
following features,
Completion of the project in expected time The project should be completed in the
estimated time given by/to the client for ensuring the acceptance criteria of schedule for the
project proposal
Document Page
3PROJECT PLANNING AND BUDGETING
Confided Expenses in the budget The project is expected to have a total expense of
more than $8,500,000 and less than $11,000,000. The project plan should ensure that the project
would be completed in that budget limit
Hospital Construction Standards The hospital construction standards are set by the
state government that promoted some specific standards consisting of facilities and equipments
that must be present in the hospital (Snyder, 2014). The project should ensure that the state
government standards are met by the ALF project hospital.
Safety and Security Standards The safety and security policies are formed for easing
the development of the profound safety of the patients, doctors, and other staff at the hospital.
The ALF project hospital should also install some specific safety and security policies.
Project Deliverables: The deliverables of the ALF project are project plan, design of the
buildings, and new facility for St. Dismas Hospital.
Project Exclusions: The transportation plan and the communication plan are not a part of
the Alf project core activities.
Project Constraints: The time limitation, resource exhaustion, and the government
policies are some of the constraints of the project.
Project Assumptions: There are three assumptions for the ALF project and they are
completion of project in estimated time and budget, availability of the project resources, and
limitation due to climate dependencies.
