Introduction:
Monet Holiday Park and resort is one of the famous holiday destination and this can
include the various type of entertainment spots such as theaters, swimming pools, takeaways,
restaurants, amusement parks, bars, activities and accommodations. Besides this the Monet
Holiday park is also seen to be associated with including other sites such as the Monet Garden
and house which is situated in Giverny, this a small village located external to Vernon. This
location is situated near the main city of Paris and generally requires one hour to reach the
destination from the city. The entire project has been associated with demonstrating the project
placement and the implementation of the design of the Monet Holiday Park.
The report is also associated with demonstrating the different trans-disciplinary theories
and models which have been discussed so as to under-pin the entire analysis. In addition to this
the report has also presented the different phases of the project which ranges from the process of
preparing to the deployment along with involving the effectiveness evaluation. Besides all this,
in order to resolve all the problems different kind of skills which have been developed by means
of the evaluating the different processes. Lastly the report also provides a brief overview of the
different actions which are taken and which would not be taken along with the analysis and
assessing of the actions.
Project background and context:
Designing and implementation of the project is seen to be very helpful in understanding
the scopes related to the development of skills so as to have an effective decision making. The
implementation is also very helpful in the process of integrating the communication along with
being helpful in solving of the different kind of problems by making use of the knowledge and

the skills which are seen to be generated in the different units under the program so as to finish
the realistic projects.
For the purpose of understanding the ways of designing the project it has been divided
into two parts so as to be implemented. The part of the project of the project is associated with
dealing with the place of entry where people would be capable of entering by means of the ticker
gift or the office shop (Heagney 2016). Besides this the garden which Monet Park is having is a
cottage style garden which is also known as the Clos Normand and this in turn is associated with
oil presentation of the house of Monet and the gardens are seen to be bursting with the summer
colors. Different kind of flowers are present in the garden which include the roses, salvias,
foxgloves and many more are some of the beautiful flowers which are presenting the full bloom
of the park.
The Monet park house is consisting of a pretty as well as a two-story building which is
printed in pink color and is trimmed by making use of different green colored shutters. The
sitting room is painted in blue and the dining room is painted yellow whereas the kitchen wall as
the consisting of tiles consisting of Rouen which is not the taste of everyone. The entire project
has been discussed along with the disciplined program and the project management practice of
the Monet holiday park by having an overall appreciation of the purposes and the nature of the
project (Schwalbe 2015). under the concept of development there is also a need of examining the
practices along with the principles of the project appraisal techniques and the preparations,
designs as well as the planning’s which are needs to be examined. In addition to all this there is
also an essential need of evaluating the methods and the theories of the skills related to the
management of the programs and the project management and this concentrates upon the hard as
well as upon the soft skills related to the successful implementation of the project.

The Socio-technical system theory is seen to be consisting of multiple systems which are
generally required for the purpose of adopting so as to fetch the organization. The model is
generally represented by means of the hexagon. This is seen to be existing at the heart of
thinking. Different interacting sub-systems are responsible for making the socio-technical system
of Monet Holiday park. This is the way in which it is possible for the project to become capable
of implementation of the individuals who are having the capability of working so as to achieve
the goals so as to have a smart process by making use of the intelligent technologies. For this
reason they would become capable of operating under the physical infrastructure along with
sharing the particular cultural norms as well as the assumptions.
The theory related to the social-technique is associated with consisting of the central idea
which is associated with helping in understanding the performance and the design of the Monet
Holiday parks system. This can be developed as technical as well as social elements can be put
together which can be treated an interdependent part of the entire system which is very
complicated (Kerzner and Kerzner 2017). However in this case any of the change program that
the organization is having might fail. The reason behind this is that they are mainly seen to be
focused highly upon one of the aspect of the system which commonly includes the technology.
This in turn might be leading to failure in the process of examining along with helping in
knowing the interdependencies which are very complicated and have been presented. But still

benefits of using the socio-technical theory approach and the major advantages have been listed

definition for the different type of activities. There also exists the approval of the administration
which is provided by the different competent authorities in different steps included in the process
of the project deployment process. These are generally needed for the purpose of successful
running of the project program in the Monet Holiday Park. In addition to this the streamlined
processes would also be capable of declining the different uncertainties existing in the different
steps of getting approval for the project and for the development as well (Fleming and

Planning skills:

However this is very complicated. But the process of providing the serious attention to the
schedule is also understood (Kerzner 2019). Planning helps in organization of the activities so as
to have accurate results and this is one of the essential part of the project manager’s job.
Complication is very high and so requires high attention.
Time management:
This is associated with including the determination and the ways of communicating the
ways by which the peoples are associated with usage of time for the different work (Milosevic
and Martinelli 2016). This is equally vital as this helps in managing the time.
Adaptability:
This generally refers to the ability of adopting the latest technologies as well as the
standards rapidly so as to eliminate any kind of future risks. The capability related to adaptation
of the works and the changes within the team is seen to very helpful in the process of learning
the ways of overcoming the different kind of issues.
Solving of problems:
The risks are searched throughout the entire project along with searching for the ways of
mitigating the risks which are determined.

In order to design the and implement the entire project of the Monet Holiday Park
different activities have been considered along with activities which have not been considered
and this includes the following:

This is where it is possible for anyone to register the project and the registering of the
project should be consisting of multiple sub-projects, along with the timesheets, products and
other information (Kerzner 2017). This is seen to be very useful in the process of utilizing the
project register so as to control the cost or revenue.

This is associated with including the documentation aspects of the project and is
associated with including the ongoing along with the shutdown issues.
Activity assigning:
This is included in the scheduling phase which is associated with including a distinct start
and end point and distribution of the tasks so as to complete the entire project.

already occurred.

This might be occurring because of the lack of trust or due to poor change management.
Some of the other reasons include the lack of long term thinking and low transparency along
with the non-sharing of the data with the tension (Nicholas and Steyn 2017).

Associated with including the different aspects where the first one is the market risk
followed by the longevity risk, concentration risk, inflation risk, reinvestment risk, horizon risk
and lastly the credit risk.

team along with the arranging of meetings in a regular way which is followed by eth discussion

resources. The entire study would be helping in the learning of various kind of motivation so as

more would also be understood from this study. In addition to all this the primary aspect of the
project is also understandable which mainly includes the quality assurances, product
development and analysis, capacity planning. The ways of competing and developing the
competing advantages have also been presented clearly. Various kind of business practices are
associated with indicating the differences which is seen to be existing between the failure and
success is also presented so as to be understood.
Conclusion:
The entire study helps in considering the sustainability of the strategy related to the
project deployment. This is done for the purpose of gaining the outcomes on the ground. This
mainly takes place along with the expectation of the targeted group. In addition to this the
implementation of the progress is essentially to be reviewed against the indicators along with the
targets which are defined in the final outcome of the framework along with the planning for
doing the work yearly. Besides this the Monet Holiday Park should also be associated with
considering the changes taking place in cases which are foreseen in the process of designing.

The platform is to gain Industries experience in areal business work related world

skills working in a group, problem solving, decision-making, communication skills,

Learning contract is generally associated with referring to the process of drawing

The skills which I need to poses would be acting as a very important factor
for the project some of the skills which I necessarily need to have are listed

Communication skills: There is a need of having good communication for the
purpose of conducting the project successfully and for the purpose of delivering and
receiving the information in quick and accurate manner.
Leadership skills: The leadership skills which I am having would not only be
helping me in showing the good interpersonal skills which I am having but would also be
helping in showing the fact that I am having the ability of co-ordinating, motivating and
shaping the entire team (Cunningham, 2017).

I have chosen the Project manager role for the project Monet Holiday Park
because my future goal is to be employed as a project manager. In addition I will gain
the knowledge of the role of a Project manager. The project will enhance my
professional development example: communication, identifying being perceptive-

classroom experience. Students have been allocated into groups after we done the
online assessment the lecture advice the students to complete. There is a 3 hours
lecture and tutorial in the university. Then there a unsupervised meeting with the group.
We arranged the time that we will have group meetings to discuss the Monet Holiday
Park Project. We also use social media Whats up to communicate with each other.
I have been associated with choosing the case study as the basic pathway and
the reasons have been listed below due to which I have been associated with choosing
the case study.

1. Context/Background
Monet Holiday Park consists of a garden along with a house which is located in
Giverny. Giverny is a small village which is located Vernon which is almost at a distance
of one hour drive from Paris. Vernon lies just over Seine and is seen to be consisting of
different river cruise boats. This place is very nice for having a one day visit in Giverny
which also consists of small excursion in the river cruise which acts as one the huge
opportunity.
The Mont Holiday Park is one of the famous place and the business manager of
this park is in an essential need of considering the responsibilities which are important
so as to manage the different kind of activities of the administration department of the
park. The business manager is also expected to assist in the marketing program for the
park. In addition to all this the business is also having the intension of performing

different kind of analysis so as to look out for certain ways by which different costs can
be reduced.
The literature conducted below depicts different methods as well as theories. The
phases of the project has been discussed below in the later section.
2. Literature Review (models and theories)
Different socio-technical approaches are to be considered by the Monet Holiday
Park along with the social systems, technical systems and the environment. The reason
behind this is that the interacting between this needs to be balanced in a sustainable
way so as to make sure that the park is performing a smart way. The theory should
necessarily be associated with focusing upon the maximization of the effective impacts
which are seen to eb positive (Vincent-Jones 2017). Besides this the theory should also be
necessarily be associated with the minimization or total eradication of the effects which
are poor. In order to make sure that the monitoring of the impacts along with the

addition to all this the primary aspect of the project is also understandable which mainly
includes the quality assurances, product development and analysis, capacity planning.
The ways of competing and developing the competing advantages have also been
presented clearly. Various kind of business practices are associated with indicating the
differences which is seen to be existing between the failure and success is also
presented so as to be understood.

Lecture class activities
This week I completed a Personality
test. I learnt that I am a Choleric person,
which means that I am a practical, successful,
independent, goal- oriented analytical,
decisive, competent tough minded. The
personality test helped me to understand
myself how I perceive information and
analyse situations. By having these
personality traits mentioned above it will help
me to be more positive as a Project Manager
in a work place environment.
The lecturer selected students in
accordance to the results from the online
personality test and students were allocated
into groups.
What was learned this
week
On this day I learned what is expected
from the group in a particular period of time.
We discussed the importance of commitment,
goal setting, sharing ideas, and how to work
together in a group
How will I apply myself I intend to attend all lectures and
tutorials. I am reading the assignment brief,
weekly slides, books and doing report finding
research. One of the books the lecture
recommended is The Scale Hall Professional
Scale (Hall,1968). By doing this I will improve
my professional behaviour and apply
professional values in the group.
How do I feel about my
learning?
I feel since starting semester 2, Level 5
I have become more organised and I am able
to prioritise my time more efficiently. I am
able to use weekly logs, weekly journals, time
keeping, and note taking. Which I will be able
to put into folders and having a designated
space for me to keep all my University work
