1. Defining the organization and project
The paper mainly reflects on proper construction of open span structure in Sydney
International airport for passenger check-in by ADCO construction which is the oldest as well as
most established construction company of Australia. The company helps in offering a number of
services including refurbishment, renovation, construction management, as well as other types of
advisory solutions to warehouses and buildings. The project that was undertaken by the company
mainly aims to improve the design of the existing roof as well as columns that are generally
being removed as well as replaced with new open structure including high level ceiling as well as
skylights. This is mainly done in order to effectively streamline the experience of the passengers
for properly creating proper path with the help of various processes from check-in to boarding. In

3.1Project integration management

Validating scope: In this step, the manager takes the responsibility of reviewing the
deliverables. It is necessary to create proper plan so that the deliverables of the project get
accepted as complete. In the last phase, one can be able to accept deliverables, change requests
as well as can be able to update project documents.
Controlling scope: The status report should be monitored by the manager starting from
the kick off phase till the close out phase so that each of the activities of the project gets executed
on time (Lampa et al. 2017). For successfully controlling the scope, the managers generally
compare the initial report with the performance report.
3.3 Project schedule management
It is identified that schedule management generally plays an important role in developing,
maintaining as well as communicating the time as well as resources which are assigned in each
of the project activity for successful completion of the project. The schedule that is created helps
in giving a starting and closure date for each of the activity so that the project manager can
complete that work within that time-period (Kerzner 2017).The Gantt chart that is developed
helps in providing proper graphical reflection of the schedule which is further beneficial in
properly communicating the project timeline in a very much simple as well as quick manner. The

3.4 Project cost management
It is found that in order to undertake the work of construction, proper financial support
will be delivered by the Australian government. In addition to this, it is necessary to ensure that
the cost estimation must be done accurately so that the budget of the project does not increase in
any circumstances. The budget that is estimated for undertaking each of the steps is reflected in
the figure below.
