Executive summary
The paper mainly reflects on the development of online food ordering and development app.
The main aim of the project is to improve their profiles by undertaking projects which can be
managed with the help of PRINCE2 methodology. The project of app development that is
undertaken will not only provide proper services but also increase job opportunities in norther
territory. Moreover, this project will also be helpful in improving the brand image of the
organization by improving their profile. It is identified that the entire paper analyzes the
project with the help of weighted scoring model and SWOT analysis. Additionally, the paper
also presents the required schedule and budget for accomplishing the project. Furthermore,
the risks that are linked with the project are also elaborated.

1. Overview
1.1 Purpose or objectives of the proposal
Problem which will be solved in the project
The paper mainly reflects on the “development of online food ordering and
delivering platform in northern territory”. It is found that presently there is no food delivery
app which will be used by the people of northern territory for ordering foods from the nearby
restaurants and as a result the people of northern territory do not have the transparency to
contact the restaurants for home delivery. This is one of the major issues in the era of
smartphone technology. As the organization has recently adopted PRINCE2 and wants to
undertake projects up to $50,000 in order to increase their profile and for gaining brand
recognition thus they decided to undertake the project of online food delivery app
development.

Description of the used methodology
It is found that the food ordering and delivering app will be developed by using
PRINCE2 project methodology. It is found that this particular methodology is recognized as
important as it generally helps in dividing the entire project into a number of stages so that it
can be managed easily (Karaman and Kurt 2015). It is found that it further helps in improving
communication with the various project team members and helps in giving the stakeholder
proper chance for making appropriate decision within the entire project. Additionally, it helps
in controlling the plan of the project by reviewing the entire project regularly.
On the other hand, it is found that agile PM methodology can also be used within the
project. It is found that there are a number of advantages of using agile methodology
including higher satisfaction of the customers, increased control on the project and further it
helps in reducing the risk of the project (Patwardhan et al. 2016). In spite of the advantages, it
is found that there are a number of issues which can occur due to use of agile and they are
less predictability, more time and lack of proper documentation. In addition to this, one of the
major issues is that the project cannot be tracked properly.
1.2 Best ways for measuring the success of the project
There are a number of criteria that helps in suggesting that the entire project has
achieved success and those are elaborated below:

Accomplishing objectives: If the people of northern territory can be able to order
food through the app that is developed and are getting timely delivery of the food then it can
be analyzed that the project has achieved success.
Timely completion: If the entire work of the project gets completed within the
estimated budget and time then it can be sure that the project has achieved success.
2. Expected benefits and dis-benefits
2.1 Context and analysis
Explanation of corporate social responsibility and reason behind raising the profile
According to Grayson and Hodges (2017), CSR or corporate social responsibility is
considered as one of the concept that helps in suggesting the responsibility towards various
corporations that operate within the society for contributing towards social, economic as well
as different types of environmental development which creates positive impact on the society.
It is found that the organization have recently adopted PRINCE2 methodology for
effectively managing different types of project. There are a number of policies, resources as
well as templates which are yet been developed but the organization wants to raise its profile
by undertaking a number of projects that are under the budget $50,000. As the people of
northern territory faces challenges in ordering food therefore the organization wants to
undertake the development of app project. It is found that this project not only helps in
delivering food at a faster rate to the people but also assists in increasing job communities of
northern territory. The youths will get the job of delivery boy which can be one of the major
advantages of undertaking this project.

frameworks that is mainly designed for properly prioritizing the features as well as other
types of initiatives. The weighted scoring model is mainly used for analyzing the project
criteria that helps in reflecting the project success. In order to reflect the success criteria with

It is found that food ordering and delivering app is mainly developed so that the

need. The app that will be developed not only helps in delivering food at a faster rate but also
assists in increasing job opportunities in the area of northern territory.

It is found that by undertaking this specific project, the organization can be able to
raise their profile by making the organization competitive. With the help of corporate social
responsibility, the organization will be able to boost their brands and further assists in
creating stronger bond between the employees. In addition to this, by undertaking this
project, the organization not only able to improve its profile but also helps in providing

3. Project requirements
3.1 Description of the requirement that is required for carrying out the project
The various requirements which are generally needed for successfully carrying out
the entire work of the project are elaborated below:
Financial resource: In order to develop the food ordering and delivery app, the
assumed budget that will be required will be around $50,000.
Human resource: The food ordering and delivery app will be developed with the
help of the stakeholders that are listed below:

Additional requirements: The other requirements which are required for the

get the opportunity of proper food ordering and delivery.
 In the project, the budget gets managed successfully and thus it is assumed that the
entire app development can be done within the budget $50,000.
3.3 Description of the constraint
Budget: If the development of food ordering and delivery app does not get finished
within $50,000 then a number of financial issues can occur within the project.
Time: Execution of the entire project within the assumed budget and time is
necessary otherwise the project will face schedule slippage that further can cause delay
within the project.

Scope: Using the scope as per the project plan is important for proper execution of the
project within the assumed budget and time and if it is not done then the problem of scope

There are a number of ways with the help of which the budget of the project can be
estimated. However, in this project bottom up estimation method is utilized. With the help of
this estimation method, the work is estimated at lowest possible level on detail and then the
estimated are generally aggregated for arriving at the summary totals.

It can be concluded from the entire paper that development of food ordering and
delivery app will be beneficial for the people of norther territory as they would get proper
online food delivery service at their doorstep. In addition to this, it is found that this project
will increase proper job opportunity. The paper analyzes the entire project with the help of
SWIT analysis as well as weighted scoring mode. As per the developed schedule, it is
analyzed that the project gets accomplished within 105 days of time. Moreover, the risks
which are linked with the project are elaborated with proper ways for successfully mitigating
the risks.
