Updated WBS
This WBS is linked to the developed WBS in the previous unit. In this segment, the
learner has established a more detailed WBS with the description and responsibilities of each
activity. According to Heagney (2016), a detailed WBS ensures successful completion of any
project. Hence, the following WBS reflects on detailed aspects of this networking project.

ASSIGNMENT 4: PROJECT-RISK ASSESSMENT AND PROJECT SCHEDULE
Risk Assessment Document
This risk assessment document has been developed to inform the stakeholders about the
associated risks in this networking project. Even though it is a networking project, some
significant risks have been identified and proposed under the risk assessment matrix. It is
recommended to strictly avoid or mitigate these risks to complete this project successfully.
Hence, risk profiling has been done by generating scores.
Likelihood
Remote Little or no likelihood
Unlikely Some involvement of likelihood
Likely A massive commitment of likelihood
Very Likely Almost certain participation
Table 2: Likelihood table
(Source: Marchewka, 2014)
Severity
Major The risk is high in these areas. Significant risks provide a total failure of the
project
Serious This severity reflects on the short-term failure of service and requires quick
action from the project manager
Significant The project is a partial failure and requires mitigation or avoidance of such
risks
Minor No issue can occur from this risk factor
Table 3: Severity Table

Risk Assessment Matrix

2-Significant Low Low Medium Medium
1-Minor Low Low Low Low
1-Remote 2-Unlikely 3-Likely 4- Very Likely
Table 4: Risk Assessment Matrix
(Source: Taylan et al. 2014)
Hence, based on the developed risk assessment matrix, the following risks have been scored for
this network designing project:
Risk name Likelihood Severity Risk Status Type of Action required
Lack of
development
technology
experience in the
current project
management team
2 4 Medium Risk Avoidance: Project Manager
should hire experienced personals
for this network designing project
Conflict in project
and resource
3 4 High Risk Mitigation: It is essential for
the project manager to focus on
an alternative option to mitigate
