INTRODUCTION A project management plan includes several components that are essential in completing project. With help of it, project proceed in smooth way and task are completed in specified manner. However, the project schedule contains lists of tasks and its start and end date. So, it is easy for project manager to prepare schedule on basis of it. In addition, it gives insight about what next activity has to be done (Cicmil,Lindgrenand Packendorff,2016). Furthermore, WBS breaks project into smaller tasks. It enables in completing entire project in deadline. This report will describe about project goals and objectives. Also, it will discuss on project scope statement. Moreover, project schedule is developed along with work breakdown structure. In this report a medical centre is constructed as project. Project goals and objectives Project goals and objectives define why project is been initiated. It shows what are the things related to project. Beside this, what business want to accomplish. The project goals must be aligned with business. Usually, goals can be of two types that are short and long term goals. They also depend on size and type of project undertaken. It is necessary to determine goals on basis of project needs. Moreover, a project can have two different goals. It enables in increasing value of business. In present case study the goal of project is to develop a medical centre campus. It was done to expand medical services and offer high quality care services. Moreover, the two objectives are defined as :- To provide cost effective delivery of inpatient care services for short time period. To develop new programs and services in providing high rehabilitation therapy services in region for long term (Willems and Vanhoucke, 2015). To provide light and heavy assisted apartment to people according to their needs. With this it will be easy for hospital to provide a facility for people to access inpatient health care services. Likewise, centre will be divided into two parts that is light and heavy assisted. The patient who require minor care services will be provided light assisted apartment whereas those who require more medical care is provided heavy assisted apartment. Project scope statement It is a document developed in which customer requirements are defined. This clearly state what project is all about and what will be its outcomes. In addition, it is clarified that how project will benefit in future and what value does it add to business. The statement consists of other 3
elements such as constraints, assumptions, etc. which provide data and info about project. The constraints mean limitation of project. Whereas assumption show what can happen after project. Through this, it becomes easy for customer to get view about what project is all about and how their needs are going to fulfil. The statement of each project is different. It depends on customer requirements. Its purpose is to provide an understanding of project outcomes to stakeholders. This is useful in getting their feedback. Similarly, success criteria of project is measured with goals and objectives. In present case project scope is requirement of medical centre to provide assisted living facility to patient. Also, it will include providing therapy services to them. Furthermore, the services will be delivered at low cost to them. In this medical facility inpatient care will be given to residents as well. In addition, project long term goal is to increase census of hospital inpatient unit where residents get health facilities in nearby area (Turner and Ledwith, 2018). Work break down structure It is a process in which overall project is broken down into smaller stages so that it can be managed. This enables team to work in together and manage project activities. The tasks gives insight to them and how entire project will be completed. Basically, it is hierarchal description of activities which has to be executed. Also, WBS is created in software or application such as Microsoft project (Vanhoucke, Coelhoand Batselier,2016). For current case study, Fred who is project manager has developed WBS which is as follows :- 4

Project schedule A project schedule is a framework that shows what activities are to be performed in next stage, what resources are required and in how much time it is to be completed. Through this, it becomes easy for project team to work in systematic manner. It acts as roadmap for completion of project. Moreover, it is difficult for manager to develop schedule as in this each activity is analysed and accordingly time is allocated for its completion (vom Brocke and Lippe, 2015). It enables in keeping track of activities so that they are started and completed on time. besides, action plan is prepared to ensure that there is no delay in project. Alongside, schedule is prepared on basis of WBS. In that each activity is having start and end date. Thus, manager develop plans accordingly to duration of each activity. Also, schedule is created in various software like Microsoft project. From that network diagram and critical path is created as well. Here, each activity is linked together which state path of project.
