INTRODUCTION
Internet is considered a global network which focuses on transmission of information
from one individual to another with the help of various internet communication network, tool
and technology. Internet helps in enhancing the research and it also results in easy application of
job through effective internet application. It is very useful in communicating information by
using standardized communication protocols (Griffiths and et.al., 2016). This assessment report
will highlight on negative and positive use of the internet. It also evaluates the threats faced by
the organization while using internet and what are the necessary measures of privacy and
security while using internet services online. This study also outlines two varied unified
communication networks and its application and suitability for the business. Unified
communication is an effective business concept which helps in effectively outlining the
integration of various business communication services.

Internet is considered one of the globally connected communication tool which in turn is
useful in exchanging and assessing to information. It is very useful in communicating
information by using standardized communication protocols. This is considered one of the most
cost effective tool which mainly provides various services such as Email, online gaming, online
movie, video conferencing, social networking, online financial services, instant messaging,
online shopping, internet forums, file sharing and data transferring.
Internet imposes various positive factors on the business and society which in turn results
higher operational goals and efficiency. Various organization focuses on use of internet which
leads to increased professionalism, less paper work, proper record of information, cost saving,
faster delivery of goods and services, greater accessibility to the information and is also helps in
providing opportunity to manage business concern from anywhere across the world. Internet
helps in global access from anytime and anywhere which in turn helps in improving the client
services through greater efficiency and flexibility (Carr, 2015). The positive impact of internet is
that it helps in effective communication with the use of instant messaging, emails, video
conferencing, etc. It is very useful in improving the transactions and interaction of the business
and society which in turn helps in saving time. Internet helps individuals in assessing to the latest

informative and it also helps in doing online shopping from anywhere in the world. It is very
useful in enhancing professional information by effectively exchanging data online. This in turn
helps in enhancing the research and it also results in easy application of job through effective
internet application. Internet is very useful to create social awareness among the individuals of
the society and it also helps them in effectively showcasing technological savvy. Online

application, etc. High degree of social media addiction can adversely affect individual's life both
professionally and personally. Stealing and hacking of banking and personal information online
is one of the major negative affect of the internet on society. Internet can be used by the
individuals to misuse the internet in order to spread hate and terrorism which in turn affects the
society on the large scale. Privacy and security issues is one of the major challenge associated
with the society which in turn affects the operations of the business (Nocetti, 2015). Excessive
use of internet and sharing personal information online leads to various criminal activities and in
turn results in malicious event carried out by the hackers. Price driven competition is one of the
major issue associated with the business due to use of internet.
2. Evaluating threats faced by the business and society while using internet.
Internet has made a positive impact on the business and society but has also led to various
threat which mainly includes botnets, pharming, phishing, hacking, malware, spam, ransomware,
etc. There are various threats faced by the organization and society with the use of internet which
in turn affects the operational efficiency, performance and productivity of the business. Business

and society faces threat associated with the hacking. This is an action associated with the
individual who gain unauthorized access to the computer. This helps hackers to get access to the
personal information which is an unethical practice, this in turn results in lack and breach of data.
Another major threat associated with the business and society is of malware. This is a way to
infiltrate the computer and infect the computer with virus, spyware, trojan horses, adware, etc.
Hackers can easily break into personal networks and system which in turn leads to breach
of information. Security and internet goes hand in hand. The company should focus on installing
various anti malware and antivirus software in order to enhance the security and privacy of the
business. The company should focus on deactivating autofill system in order to work in an
ethically and reasonably manner (Goggin and McLelland, 2017). Use of virtual private network
helps in protecting data and maintaining privacy at the time of using internet. Pharming is a
major threat which in turn affects the confidentiality of the business. This can redirect the URL
to illegitimate website. Entering of personal information on such website leads to malicious
activity. Spam is one of the major threat to the business as this in turn helps in collecting and
sending out information from non- suspicious people. Virus act as a major threat to the business
which helps hackers to get access to the contact list and computer information. It also leads to
hijack of web browser. It also leads to display of unwanted ads and in turn also results in
disabling security setting which in turn leads to breach and loss of personal information of an
individual. Wi-Fi eavesdropping is yet another threat to the business (Common threats to be
aware of 2017). The company should focus on securing the Wi-Fi with a strong password which
in turn does not lead to access to the private information.
Internet privacy and security is very essential for the protection of personal data with the
use of internet. Security is very useful in safeguarding the personal data of the individual. The
company should focus on protecting individuals to get access to unauthorized data.
Business and society must focus on protecting various sensitive information by complying with
various data protection tools and technologies. The company should and society should focus on
strengthening the social privacy setting in order to improve the performance of the business.
Secured passwords helps in protecting all the information by effectively encrypting the data. The
company should focus on deleting sensitive information in order to prevent them from getting
hacked. The company should intimidate with scareware by providing security with computers
with the help of scareware. This tool helps in telling computer that the computer has a security

problem and in turn also results in false information. Individuals in the society should focus on
keeping the email and phone number private (Thomas and et.al., 2015). Business and individuals
must focus on reviewing the permission associated with the mobile application and extension of
browser.

major threats associated with the business. This network is effectively used to create secure
connection and it is also very beneficial in shielding the user from hackers in order to protect
useful and private information. This tool is very useful in increasing the security of the internet

problem to the solution. This network is useful in increasing the productivity and performance of

technology. Office 365 suites helps in exchanging information online through email, calendar,
task. It helps in project management and file management. It helps in providing effective features
to the individuals in order to improve the productivity of the application in the organization. This
unified communication network helps in providing better technical support to the individual
which in turn leads to better technical support to the individual. This helps in better collaboration
with the help of scree n sharing, video conferencing, workplace value, etc. This unified
communication network helps individual in increased ability to work from various part of the
world with the help of the internet (Winseck, 2017). Microsoft unified communication network
helps in sharing and accessing the files from the centralized location on a real time basis. This
helps in integrating various system and is suitable for the business in order to improve the
performance and productivity of the business by collaborating various activities with the use of
unified communication network.

Online research skills are very crucial as it helps in effective collection of data from
online internet sources. An individual must focus on developing online research skills by being
patient, checking the sources, integration of new advanced technology, etc. the individual must
focus on using information, synthesis and evaluation of the data in a systematic and appropriate
manner. Digital communication skills is very useful in enhancing the network. It is very useful in

` The services provided by the both companies are important for the business
organizations. For the different tasks companies can used the services that are provided by these
service providers. All the operations of the Microsoft are based on the cloud and on the other
hand services provided by the Avaya are based on the requirements of the client companies.
Avaya design their package as per the requirement of the customer organizations but instead of
doing this Microsoft services are standard and common for all. Customers used their services are
per their needs and in return they pay for using services of Microsoft (Seo and Thorson, 2016). The
services that are provided by the Avaya are robust and not so flexible for user but the
communication services that are provided by Microsoft are flexible and user friendly. Users of
services are able to modify the applications as per their neds.
This is how the services provided by the Microsoft are good for consumer but no
administration is provided in the process. In the Avaya employees of company provide services
to client with high rate of administration.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it has been summarized that, Internet is considered one of the
globally connected communication tool which is very useful in communicating information by
using standardized communication protocols. This study effectively outlines various positive and
negative application of internet within society and organizational context. It has been evaluated
that, use of internet which leads to increased professionalism, less paper work, faster delivery of
goods and services, proper record of information, cost saving, greater accessibility to the
information and is also helps in providing opportunity to manage business concern from

anywhere across the world. On the contrary, internet also leads to stealing and hacking of
banking and personal information online is one of the major negative affect of the internet on
society. It has been concluded that, internet faces various threats such as botnets, pharming, Wi-
Fi eavesdropping, spam, virus, phishing, hacking, malware, spam, ransomware, etc. this study
further summarizes Avaya and Microsoft unified communication networks and its application
and suitability for the business.
