INTRODUCTION
Intervention can be used for promoting positive behaviour. Attitude of a person decides
whether one can overcome from a disease or bad habit (O'Brien, 2013). Care UK is an
organisation who is operating in health and social care sector of United Kingdom. This
assignment will discuss about restrictive interventions. Proactive and reactive strategies can be
used for promoting positive behaviour. They will be explained in this file. Ways of promoting
positive behaviour will also become part of this report. Responses to the incident of challenging
behaviour will also be included at the end of this file.

P2 Interventions which can used for promoting positive behaviour
Their are mainly two types of intervention which can promote positive behaviour, they
are as follows:
Positive behavioural support plan – Proper planning can play crucial role in promotion of
positive behaviour. Functional behavioural analysis provide details about why a child or any
other person is behaving in a particular way. Once this work get accomplish then next part is to
decide all the measures which can be taken for maintaining challenging behaviour. Through
teaching, positive behaviour can be promoted.
Implementation of proactive strategies – Symptoms of negative behaviour can be seen in
children when they are studying at schooling (Browne, 2013). By giving proper guidance to
teachers and parents of child, this problems can be stopped at the point of its generation by Care
UK.

Safeguards are used for protection of client and employees of Care UK. They play an

followed by every enterprise who is operating in health and social care sector (Holt, 2016).

Person or child centric approach is essential at the time of choosing and implementing
proactive strategy because it explore concepts of making an action plan which care about feeling
and health of service user. One of the key advantage of maintaining a person centric approach is
that it plans for different upcoming stages of life of an individual. Normally practitioners
concentrate on current process and situation of service user. Adoption of this approach is crucial
part of most of the proactive strategies because it try to trigger challenging behaviour at early
stage. This approach restrict negative behaviour and make proper synchronisation in all the
efforts regarding intervention (Grant and Betts, 2013). Child centric approach assure fine
