INTRODUCTION
Population health promotion defined as model that defines shape, image and also explain
relationship between population health and health promotion (Hubley and Copeman, 2018).
However, health promotion programs aim to engaged and empower individual and communities
to choose healthy behaviours. Thus, this is effective process that refers people to enhance control
and to improve their health. Hence, effective focus on population health promotes better patient
engagement.
The present assignment will base on object to improve health of population that promote and
protect the health of community. However, the health promotion is crucial agenda for legal
authorities,
However, report will examine public health policy that developed to improve the health of
population, factors that affects the health in population, healthy lifestyles etc. Lastly, assignment
will develop health promotion event and analyse its effectiveness.

1.1 Discussion on process for developing public health policy.
Public policy defined as action that taken by legal authorities. This is effective in terms to
solve problems and to improve the quality of life. Hence, process for developing public health
policy defined as agenda building, formulation, adoption, implementation, evaluation and
termination. This, its defined in below contexed manner as-
Identification of problem- The number of problem exists but for an issue to make it in
public policy agenda, it must be salient issues that stands out and encountered by large interest of
groups (Flora, Schooler and Pierson, 2018). For example- American society tolerates certain
level of crime, at the moment when the rate of crime enhances dramatically than this become the
serious problem and it becomes the issue for policy makers to address things kind of conflicts
with better solution.
Formulation and adoption- Policy formulation that come up with an approach to sort out
the issue. This is the second issues that works as to identify the problem and setting out the

adopts several courses of action and to adopt one best possible solution so that better things can
be done. At this stage, it is crucial to come up with the one best possible solution that aids to
handle systematic activities.

accomplished by institution. This is stage at which there are number of actions and mechanism at
which policies are bough into practice. Henceforth, several factors are combine that determine
the actual effects of policy and how its achieve objectives.
Evaluation and termination- This is term that defined as to determine that how policy is
actually working and this is not an easy task. Therefore, policy making stage includes process,
monitoring, analysis, criticism and assessment of proposed policies (Burton and et.al., 2019).
This is one of the effective state as it determines the gap between actual and planned process.
Henceforth, better evaluation must be taken to assist legal authorities to implement policies in
effective and efficient manner.
1.2 Identification on potential groups that can influence public health policy.
There are range of policy makes and they all are responsible to health legislation within the
country. Therefore, potential groups that influence public health policy are defined in below
contexed manner as-
Politician and political parties- The legal authorities do not sit at the level of local,
regional and national. Henceforth, policies need to be influenced through specialist committees
by developing manifest and commitment of policy (Fletcher and et.al., 2018). Thus, the
intervention of political parties may affect the public health policy.
Statutory bodies- Under it, care quality commission, health care inspector and NHS legal
authorities plays key role in implementing the public health policies. Thus, they are legal that can
influence the public health policies at the wider scope.
Ministers- The visible, influential, legal ministers can be difficult to reach and require
high targeted approach h. Henceforth, departments of health have right to review the public
health polices and they can be open to the approaches by external experts and source of
information.
Civil servants- They are the authorities who are tasked with the developing and
implementing workplace policies. Thus, their main role is to develop policy in an area that
relates to study that are in hearing the detailed evidence. Henceforth, they can also have right to

Professional sector bodies- They are the bodies who have regulatory role and set

professional bodies are as- Nursing and midwifery council, British medical association and NHS

this can influence the public health policy.
1.3 Define government monitors for the health of nation.
The government plays the crucial role in terms to regulating the financial of the system that
effected through mandatory health insurance and other social insurance. Thus, public health is
need to be promoted and should be concerned in terms to disease prevention and control of the
level of the population (Kimura and et.al., 2018). Henceforth, health care regulations are
developed and implemented at the all level of the government as federal, state and local and also
by the private enterprises. Hence, health care enterprise and standards are crucial to meet and to
provide safe health care to each individual who can access to the system.
Additionally, legal authorities must take initiatives steps to have effective control over the
price of medication and medical services through the effective regulation and negotiation. Thus,
health care organisation and legal authorities are equally responsible to provides better and
effective care practices to patients.

There are number of the factor that all combine and it affect the health of the individuals.
Hence, the health stratus of the people can also be reflected with the circumstances and
environment. Herein, social and economic factor have large impact on public health such as
education, income, employment, community and social supports can significantly affect the
health care services (Christian and et.al., 2018). Furthermore, the more commonly factors that
have access and use of health practices are defined in the following manner as are-
The social and economic environment
The physical environment
The individual’s characteristics and behaviour.
Income and social status- Higher income and social status both are linked towards to better
health. Henceforth, the status level of people also affects the health of the people.
Therefore, it can be stated that the gap of being riches and poorest shows the greater
difference in health.

self-confidence, theses all are the detriments that affects the health of an individual.
Physical environment- The things as safe water, clean air, healthy workplaces, safe houses,
roads and communities all contribute to the good health.
Social support networks- In this, it is crucial to have greater supporter from families,
communities, friends all are linked with one another to promote better health within the
individuals. Therefore, custom, tradition and beliefs of the family and community all the
affect the health of an individual.
Genetics- The inheritance plays the crucial role in order to determine the lifespan,
healthiness and likelihood that are developing certain illness. In order to cope up with int,
individual should focus over balanced diets, smoking, drinking and several life stresses and
challenges that are affecting the health of an individual.
Health services- The access and use of services that prevention and treatment of the disease
all can influence the health of an individual.
Gender- Men and women suffers from the varied kind of the disease at the different stages.
2.2 Define the potential benefits of improving health across the nation.
The main purpose of health promotion is to positively influence the health behaviour of the
individuals and communities as well the living and working condition that can influence the
health of individuals (Christian and et.al., 2018). Henceforth, health programme are mainly aims
to engages and empower the communities to choose health behaviour and to have reduction in
the risk of developing the chronic disease. Heath across the nation can be improvised with the
better health promotional activities.
Additionally, main purpose of the health promotion is to positively influence the health
behaviour of the all individual and communities as well as to take initiatives steps to have better
living and working conditions that can influence the health of the individuals (Geidne and et.al.,
2019). Therefore, several benefits of improving health promotions are defined in following
manner as are-

Health promotion campaign can be defined as multi-level approach. This can influence
individual and group by varied strategies at differ level (Christian and et.al., 2018). Henceforth,
it can be stated that the target group must be exposed to the factors that aids to promote the
action and the health promotion material defined in the following manner as are-
Television and advertisement- Health care agencies can have the use of this tool to
promote health awareness within the public (Schwarz and et.al., 2018). Thus, large number of

Posters- It is also one of the tool, with help of it public can be aware disease and

with increase in knowledge, people and this all can be changed attitude for longer term. Hence,
the main aim to produce small health promotion campaign is to enhance the public awareness of
the effects of life-style on health. This also enables person to assess that life style changes can be
most conducive to their health. Additionally, this aids to stimulate information seeking behaviour
and also take initiative that fosters the development of local health promotional activities

The campaigns can used to raise awareness of crucial health issues and also stimulate the
group and individual that seek information and service. Thus, health promotion has wide impact
on the mind of person as it aids to enhance knowledge, the public can change their attitude for
the longer term and this particularly connects with intervention programme that cab be used to
changed the behaviour of the individuals. Healthy campaign can also support to improve healthy
eating habits and getting people to change their diet and eating behaviour. Additionally, better
and effectively organised health campaign provide good and effective health to the individuals.
