Equality and diversity are considered to be equally important which impacts all the employees working in the organization.
Treating the people in equal manners is essentials to be being effective and successful organizations. The equality and diversity
should be measure in any dimension such as age race, religions, disability or sexual orientation. Discrimination, the intended or
accomplished differential treatment of persons or social groups for reasons of certain generalized traits. the diversity in the
workplace training in the perfect manner. The cultural competence will be resulting in ability to understood, communicate and
effectively interact with the people belong to the different cultures and work varying cultural belief and schedules. Sainsbury is
the leading retail sector current facing issue in promoting equality and diversity at work pale which is negatively impacting
profitability of firm. Discrimination is defined by actions that lead to indifferent treatment of individuals, based on specific life
aspects that these individuals associate or identify themselves with. In this way, it adds to their work stress and reduces
employee morale and job satisfaction. Discrimination can kill productivity by reducing focus and increasing conflicts. It

distracts people from their jobs, makes them feel inferior and gives rise to complex situations not favourable to employees or
company.
Aim- To value the impact cultural discrimination in the equality and productivity of Sainsbury
Research Objectives
a) To study the importance of equality and diversity in the workplace.
b) To determine the impact of cultural diversity on the productivity of Sainsbury
c) To evaluate the strategies to reduce the workplace cultural discrimination.

critical thought” throughout the researcher. Researchers have a responsibility to behave honestly and ethically in the course of
their research. I have responsibility to work within the framework of proper an good governances with responsibility of
conducting he ethical research.

Workplace diversity is the term which describes the inclusion of the people in the workplace. This will be regardless in the term
of the cultural differences such as gender, race and sexuality. diverse workplace has the importance with wide range of
experiences and skill among the employees. In the recent yar cultural competences have the clear dependency on awareness to
own cultural overview (Attfield. and Attfield, 201). This have tolerant attitude with cultural differences and cross-cultural skills.
in the retail industry. Equality and diversity turned out to be interesting point to be discussed now day in the workplace. It is
important to different culture work together along with more cultural competency which is essential to have avoidance of issue.
I need to work at HR manager in future so it is important form to understand the various level of skill to manage the resource in
appropriate manner. I have the personal interest in developing in research skill and human resource management skills looking
to various opportunities for further development. I have developed my knowledge in term of HR professional looking about all
the ethical issue which intake place in research. in have to conduct their proper PDP that’s is professional development plan to
have attaining the proper skilling development of my dream professions in perfect manner.

Equality and Diversity
As per the view of Klarsfeld, and et.al., (2016), equality is considered to be relevant at all workplaces regarded the employer
have employed two or two hundred people, irrespective of whether they work remotely, in an office, a warehouse or on a shop
floor. On the other hand, diversity have accounted major level of differences between the people and groups placing the positive
values on those differences. The author supported the statement as the diverse an inclusive workplace has proper belonging
from the different backgrounds, knowledge, skill and experiences to rete the positive and effective workforce. On the other
hand, it is important for the human resource practices in helping out the company to gauge the level of its development. The
firm have bigger level of responsibility for the accomplishments and advocacies of the equality and diversity principles which
are incorporated in every activity of the organization (Ylöstalo, 2016). Efficient equality and diversity should prey support the
communisation as well as accomplishment or arrangement. The author state as organization have the need to take proper
intuitive in promoting the quality and diversity which is beneficial for all stakeholders in the organization .. the succession of
equality and diversity have clear dependency integrations for both organization strategy and its culture. the ability of the
organization is to identify the issue and tackle discrimination in the workplaces which will greatly enforce equality and diversity
in the workplace.
Cultural Diversity

cultural competences. This have been bee important skills for the diversity in the workplace training in the perfect manner. the
author supported the stamens as developing the cultural competence will be resulting in ability to understood, communicate and
effectively interact with the people belong to the different cultures and work varying cultural belief and schedules. On the other
hand, here is negative impacts such as the language, dresses or the clash in established norms within the workplace giving rise to

the resentments and mistrust. This negative by products of diversity in the workplace may lies in the incorrect level of
perceptions of the fair hiring practices in perfect manner. The Ng and Stamper., 2018) contradicted as the cultural diversity will
be help in boosting the productivity and creativity as this will be helpful in igniting the loyalty and boosting their retention. This
also lead in having their varsity ad better execution by getting comfortable with sharing viewpoints from the different cultural
backgrounds. This will be getting a whole chunk of ideas that are different from the other. moving to other side of the story
cultural diversity will lead to have ore stress and make the environment more negative. naturally it will be happening as diverse
cultural will automatically lead to have discrimination most obvious.
Impact of Equality and Diversity of The Firm of Productivity.
As per the view of the Ylöstalo, (2016), managing both equality and diversity is considered to be equally important which
impacts all the employees working in the organization. The author supported the statement as the business have been proven
bias and discriminative within workplaces which have impede the business growth and productivity. On the other hand, Attfield,
and Attfield, (2019) contradicted as the business are looking beyond legal consideration and policies in order promoting the
equality and diversity to improve productivity, opportunity, and competitiveness.
In the retail sector, there is heavy network of the supplier, company human resource and customer required to complete the
cycle so managing diversity and equality. In the workplace have been important managerial competency (Ng and Stamper.,
2018). Treating the people in equal manners is essentials to be being effective and successful organizations. The equality and
diversity should be measure in any dimension such as age race, religions, disability or sexual orientation. So, it is important for
the organization for having the responsibility to promote equality throughout the working and management of company.
According to the view of Köllen., (2020), equality and diversity have the live to embrace the right skills and learning the firm
have to understand that providing the equality will provide value to the company.

As from the above literature review, it an b clearly understood as the equality and diversity promotion have its own pro and
cons. Discrimination, the intended or accomplished differential treatment of persons or social groups for reasons of certain

generalized traits. The challenge for the future is to embrace a new partnership aimed at closing the gap between the universal
expansion of the world. The collaboration and teamwork are among the employees to the critical success. on the other hand, the
major level of accountability in accomplishing the of the equality and diversity preprogrammes is for further fulfilments through
completion of various activities geared activities which lie in organization.
