INTRODUCTION It is important for a person to prepare well in order to attain success. An individual needs to develop different skills and potential in order to conduct task in more create and better manner. there are various steps and other attributes that is includes in preparing for success as well as accomplishing its (Sangroungrai, Sukchareonpong and Witchakul, 2018). A person needs to put their maximum efforts for achievement of success. In this report contribution of mini project workshop in employability is determined. This report include information about portfolio contents and its effectiveness for self development. Apart from this several portfolio contents in analysed in this report. MAIN BODY How and why have the mini project workshops contributed towards the development of your employability? Mini workshop is very impactful in increasing person capability and effectiveness to perform well in organisation. In mini project workshop information about different employability and development of employability skills are determined. This is very effective and creative approaches that should be use by person in order to increase their capability and effectiveness to attain set goals. Mini project will lead to contribute in development and growth of person employability as well as help them in conducting business task in more effective manner. In this mini workshop a person is able to gain information about different components such as CV, ideal job role and its responsibility, working in a group of team, SWOT analysis and different other aspects about employability (Saat, 2019). I have analysed that this mini project workshop was very useful for me as I am able to increase my confidence by gaining understanding about employability. This mini project workshop was very useful in developing information about CV and its different attributes. Participation in mini workshop will assist me in identifying and analysing how to create an effective CV which will includes information about person details in more informative manner.This workshop will provide information about important of creating good CV as well as its impact on gaining desired job role. Mini project workshop will provide in depth detail about the idea job as well as help in knowing what is ideal job. Individual will be able to understand the important for ideal job as well as its requirements. Portfolio contents 1.Reflection of the contents of CV– CVis very useful in representing information and detail about different aspects ofa person. In my CV I have included various important information and details which is necessary for providing complete data about my study and experience. I have analysed that CV is one of the crucial element which increase that chances of getting selected for a job role. CV is made up of different information and data which is essential for recruiter to identify and analyse the capability of candidate. In my CV I have classify my information is different parts such as personal detail, Education and qualification, working experience, hobbies and skills. All of these are the essential information that should be included in a good CV. By determining my personal information recruiter will be able to contact with me for further recruitment process and education qualification will assist in providing complete information about the data as well as understand of different aspects about my study and knowledge. By carefully determining all of the information that is provided in CV will assist recruiter to analyse my capability and potential to perform organisational task in better manner. 2.Up-to-date CV– It is very important for a person to always keep CV up to date. This refer as conducting changes and modification in CV as per the changes in career and qualification improvement (Walters, 2016). I have develop a good CV which includes all information about my skill which I have developed through my academic learning , personal learning and past working experience. By keeping CV up to data a person is always ready to achieve different opportunity for growth and development. In my CV I 2
haveincludeddifferentskillssuchascriticalthinkingskill,organisationalskill, management skills, decision making skill and many more. 3.What is your ideal job after graduation– I have analysed that a job can be consider as ideal when it is a per the need and requirement of student. After completion of graduation there are many students who want to apply for job and get their desired job in order to achieve personal and professional goals. Ideal job after graduation is a dream of many student and they are ready to put their maximum efforts in order to attain ideal job. For me ideal job is to become a human resource manager at one of the top known company. in order to achieve this desired job I have study human resource management as well as its different aspects. It is crucial that a person have theoretical knowledge after graduation to conduct business task of ideal job role (Fada, and et.al., 2016). As a human resource manager my duties will be to manage employees of company as well as conduct different task in order to improve their performance. Human resource manage is my ideal job role which is according to my skills, capability as well as graduation knowledge. The major responsibility of human resource manager is to meet with the need of employees and organisation as well as makesure that all task of business in conducting in required manner. My expectation for this job role in that senior person support me in conduct task as well as provide guidance so that I can conduct task in more effective manner. 4.How will you search for jobs after graduation– There are various method and approaches that can be used by a person to search for a job role. As a graduate student it is very different to apply for a job. I have determined that there are number of ways through which a person can apply for desired job role and accomplish set objectives. In order to search for job after graduation I have evaluate different method such as online portal and official website of organisation. It has been identified that both of these are veryeffectiveandaccuratemethodswhichwillprovidesupporttocandidatefor searching job. But these methods have some drawback. Online portal is easily to use and effective in providing large number of job to candidate. The drawback of online portal for candidate is that there are high chances of fraud cases. Where as official website of organisation is very authentic and correct ways to apply for desired job role. The major issues in this method of job search is that this is very time consuming way and many companies does not reply for the application. 3
5.SWOT analysis –Identification of my strength, weakness as well as opportunity and threat are mention below. Strengths My strengths are time management skillsaswellascriticalthinking capability. Both of these skills are crucialforconductinghuman resource manager job role in effective manner. Weaknesses Thereareseveralweaknesswhich affectmyperformanceand capability.Mywritten communication is weak due to this I delay in communication information through written methods. Opportunities By working on my weakness I will be able to increase my competence to conductbusinesstaskinmore innovative manner. Threats Changesintechnologyaswellas increaseincompletionfordesired job role is the major weakness which will affect my performance. 6.Article on employability– According to this article which is written by Maciej Duszynski, it have been analysed that there are various skills which is included in employability. It is very crucial for a person to identify and determine different skills so that they can prepare themselves for employability (SOLTANZADEH, GHIYASI,and DAMAVANDI, 2019). The term employability can be describe as the set of skills which is desirable for employee for employer. The skills which in included in employability will lead to have significant impact over turning a person into more attractive for a recruiter as well as they consider them for the most suitable for the job position in organisation. In this article different employability skills such as problem solving, communication oral and written, organisational skills, collaboration, technological skills, data analysis skills and so on. All of these are very important skills which is crucial for a person to attain desired job role as well as work for ideal job role. 7.What is employability– Employability is one of the crucial elements of a person which increase the chance of getting selected for desired job role as well as performing well in organisation. This can be desired as the team which is used to represent different types of skill set which needs to be within a person. I have understand that employability includes skillssuchascommunicationskills,criticalthinking,coordination,adaption,time management and so on. Employability of increase the chances of a person to a person to gain desired job role as well as become most suitable for getting paidfor the work. Employability skill enhance the possibility of an individual that they can get selected by for the job role as well as able to perform business task in more innovate and accurate manner so that set goals could be timely accomplish by business. It is very important for a person to have team work skill as this assist achieving common goals of a team. An organisation will be able to perform business task in more effective way when its team member are working collectively. 10.Picture of yourself– In order to prepare for interviewI have taken care of several aspects such as my dress, appearance, documents and other aspects. It is crucial to dress well and appropriate for interview round. Pleasant dress will help in giving effective impression as well as increase the changes of selection. It is crucial to have all documents which is related to past experience and education qualification. 11.Note taking in class– It is very important for a person to take notes in a class as this is very supportive in achieving good grade in academic study (Zhang and et.al., 2017). Through these content I will be able to increase my employability skills as well as able to enhance the chance of getting selected for desired job role. After graduation I need to create a good CV and up data my current CV (Aste, and et.al., 2019). I have learned about how to create a good CV as well as what all information should be included in CV for making good impression at recruiter. Information about idea job role will assist in determine what is idea job for me as well as its requirement that need to be full filled for gaining growth. Details about different source for applying for job is very useful in understanding advantage and disadvantages of job search method. The most effective tool which can be used for a person growth and development is SWOT analysis. Through this model I will be able to determine my strengthorpowerwhichissupportiveinconductingbusinesstaskincorrectmanner. Identification ofweakness is very important as this increase the scope of developing different areas in which a person is weak and not able to conduct task in required manner. SWOT analysis model assist in identifying all those opportunity and threat which is related to my personal and professional development. I chose SWOT analysis as the most effective portfolio content as it 6
increase the chance of development and growth of a person. Correct use of this model will assist in determine all those areas in which a person is weak and different opportunity that can be gained by improving those area. CONCLUSION From the above report it can be concluded that employability consist of all those skills which are included in employability enhance the chance of a person to perform business task in creative manner as well a meet with the expectation of organisation.
