According to Erikson theory, in this case study the boy Raul is facing problems which reflect that
he is afraid and has a lack of confidence which should be developed in early childhood. The major
problem with Raul was that he was going though Onychophagia this is a sign of another mental disorder.
Raul performs all such actions that reflect the nervousness, Lack of confidence, and anxiety (Cheery,
2019), (Sachan & Chaturvedi, 2012).
Various risk factors were affecting the development of Raul. The first one is considered as the
Background of a child, the family was not good in the financial area and Raul’s father was a strict man
that builds the boundaries between son and father there was a lack of communication gap. The Second
one is child parenting; since childhood, the attention was not paid towards the boy .The ignorance made
by parents becomes obstacle in the development of the child. According to me, the child needs a
counseling session that will help the boy to identify his strengths and weakness. The grooming of a child
with a good mentor will help him to develop. The boy will understand the areas in which he is his best.
According to my suggestion, Raul needs proper education and support from school and his parents. The
child needs to feed with proper nutrients for better growth. Raul can be engaged in physical activity that
can improve him physically and mentally. Parents need to provide a good environment at home so that
they can make themselves feel free to share their thoughts. Appreciation by parents can make the child
more motivated and it will enhance the hidden qualities of a child that needs to be decorated.
