INTRODUCTION
▪ Public health can be defined as the science of protecting and improving
people health along with communities.
▪ It can include art and science that can help to prevent disease and
promote better health in society.
▪ This can be effective and provide a large population better health
public health and play an important role and providing better
infrastructure and promote health community for their healthy
behavior.

Disease and ill health along with principles behind
inequalities in health
▪ Disease can be defined as the sickness or illness which are generally
characterized by different sign and symptoms.
▪ Disease are large in number that have potential to create a negative
health and enforces illness in individual (Gravlee, 2020).
Disease may includes-
▪Depression
▪Anxiety
▪Diabetes
▪Psoriasis

Health inequality
▪ Health inequality can be defined as the avoidal differences within large
number of population that can have negative impact on population
health.
▪ It includes difference in disturbance and health status in health
resources (Rajkomar and et. al., 2018). It can arise social condition
within people who grow, live, born and work within society.

Social determinant
There are different social determinant which includes
 Education and literacy
 Healthy behavior
 Physical environment
 Income and social status
 Access to health care services.

Strategies for promoting and enhancing health
▪ Health promotion refers to practice which can involve engagement of community and
group within making decision for better and attaining quality of life (Martinez and et. al.,
2018).
▪ It have the main focus on educating people about minimizing and controlling the
fluctuation within their health.
Health promotion can have different principles which include-
Participation and environment
Action along with action competition
Abroad along with positive health concept
Equity in health assisting prospective
Setting perspective

Health promotion strategy
▪Health promotion strategy can be defined as a process that are in people to
increase and control over the improved health (Rusch and et. al., 2020).
▪There are different strategy which can be implemented within public health.
These are-
 Providing supportive environment
 Strengthening community action
 Building healthy public policies
 Reorienting health services
 Developing personal skills

Role of epidemiology along with demographics to
public health practice
▪ Epidemiology can refers to the impact on health practices. It includes
study design and analysis of identifying the different situation (Khan
and et. al., 2018).
▪ This can also evaluate programs and policy that can help to guide
intervention in order to improve population health.

Epidemiology
▪Epidemiology includes the public health that can help to disease surveillance and
identifying hazard. This can include identification of risk factor to the public health.
▪Violence and injury epidemiology can have aim to ensure unintentional and intentional
injury within individual life. This can have impact on individual that can evaluated and
analyzed to reduce the impact and providing better safety and care to public health.
▪United Kingdom population are also living with diabetes which have about 7% of the
total population that may include one million of people who are not having proper diagnosis
of type 2 diabetes (Lippi and et. al., 2021).

Demographic
▪ Demographic can be defined as the information that may include gender, race, age,
marital status, ethnicity, income, employment and education. This may include survey
question to get proper statics. Public health demography can include the statistical data
which can be effective to ensure about the method for health status and public health
behavior.
▪ This my include structure of population for the public health intervention that are
associated with fertility, mortality and migration. United Kingdom have a large number of
population who are facing the mental health illness that is depression where 20% of
people are experience in the mental health problem (Kumar and et. al., 2021).

Theories and approaches of Health Promotion
▪ There are various theories and approaches which can significantly help
in health promotion and relates with health issue.

Theory of health promotion
▪There are some of the theory of health promotion that are going to
be discussed further which includes self determination theory and social
cognitive theory.

▪Social cognitive theory

Approach of health promotion
▪ There are various approach of health promotion that can be effective and
may include client centered approach and behavioral change (Bappy and et.
al., 2019).

CONCLUSION
▪ From above discussion, it can be conclude that disease are highly
effective and can have negative health impact.
▪ This can lead to create different health related problem which consist
some sign and symptoms.
