This research proposal investigates the application of Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) for optimizing data transmission and enhancing energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). The project aims to address the critical issue of energy depletion in WSNs, which significantly limits their operational lifespan. By leveraging PCM, the proposal explores innovative data aggregation techniques that minimize energy consumption while maintaining data integrity and trustworthiness. The research will delve into the existing challenges and limitations of current data transmission optimization methods, analyzing their impact on energy efficiency and network security. Through a comprehensive literature review and comparative analysis, the proposal will identify the most effective solutions for addressing these challenges. The project will then propose a novel PCM-based data aggregation approach that optimizes energy consumption, enhances data security, and improves the overall performance of WSNs. The expected outcomes include a significant increase in energy efficiency, improved data security, and enhanced network lifetime, ultimately contributing to the advancement of WSN technology for various applications.
