Introduction
In this current era of rapid digitalization, enhancement of personal qualifications and
skills are required for increasing the chance of showing the ability in personal life on an
individual. This report sheds light on collected job advertisement from different types of
advertisements sites including Linkedin, Seek AU which provides huge job opportunities in
various posts in Australia. In other words, personal attributes which are highly required for a
corporate accountant along with key roles and responsibilities of the accountant has been
evaluated in this assignment. Along with that, learning attributes that are provided in the MPA
unit corporate accountant has also been taken under consideration.
1. Collected job advertisements in total
To discuss the effectiveness of corporate accountant and key personal attributes are
required to be a successful corporate accountant, there are 30 job advertisements has been
provided (Refer to appendices). It has been identified that all the job advertisements are
provided regarding the corporate accountant, senior corporate accountant, tax accountant, senior
financial accountant and tax and corporate reporting. Most of the job advertisements are
mentioned that before applying regarding the post, several criteria are properly maintained by the
students (Refer to appendices). As opened by Ahadiat & Martin (2015), all the students are
beneficial for applying the mentioned post by reviewing all details about all the job roles.

Among all the job advertisements, most are regarding accountant, senior accountant, tax
accountant and senior financial account (Refer to appendices). It has been identified that
approximately 30 job advertisements have been provided accordingly.
2. Name of the organizations posting the job advertisements
It has been seen that several organizations are released different types of job roles in
Australia in their advertisements. Some of the famous organizations are Synaco, NBCS, Boltrell
and many more. (Refer to appendices).
Discuss the industry breakdown of the organization
All the job advertisements which are provided in the appendices are regarding the
corporate accountant, senior accountant, tax accountant which is the major job role in Australia.
Besides, as mentioned by Odukoya et al. (2018), most of the organizations are interested to hire
their employees who are having a degree in accountant course and knowledge regarding business
management activities.
3. Collected job titles mentioned in advertisements
It has been identified that most of the job advertisements are regarding the post are tax
accountant; commercial accountant; senior accountant, hospital accountant; staff accountant,
junior accountant and internal accountant (Refer to appendices). Most of the job advertisements
are mentioned clearly about their criteria and academic qualifications.

4. Required personal attributes for a corporate accountant
It has been identified that various key attributes are important to be a successful and
famous corporate accountant. As mentioned by Ahadiat & Martin (2016), most of the important
and well-known attributes that are required for being a corporate attribute is having excellent
management time skill which is important to manage a big organization properly. Apart from
that, to maintain a big team and manage high accounting responsibilities, communication skills
are also important for mitigating the communication gap properly. Moreover, effective
enhancements of communication skills are highly beneficial for building a strong as well as
healthy relationship within the organization. To be a successful corporate accountant, it is
important to have creative thinking capacity that helps to provide more innovative ideas involved
in work activities. Moreover, Ahadiat & Martin (2015) has commented that creative thinking
capability can be advantageous for delivering an effective solution over any critical situation in
business. It has been evaluated that the required key attributes have a huge impact on the
professional life of an individual for suitably developing their career. All the attributes are
mentioned in job advertisements.
As stated by Schaltegger & Zvezdov (2015), all the attributes are strongly important for
managing various job responsibilities including corporate accountant, senior accountant,
corporate financial accountant, accountant corporate finance along with senior financial
accountant gradually. Corporate accountant needs to execute highly organized skills which are
important to manage big teamwork, business-related activities in a proper way. On the other
hand, several finance-related skills are required highly to be a successful corporate accountant.
Information system, commercial laws, and business economics are the main attributes for
managing the accountant post properly. Besides, Gerstein & Friedman (2016) have mentioned

accounting are also important for managing the desired job role.

It has been seen from the above discussion that each job advertisement mentioned the key
personal attributes are important to be a successful corporate accountant. The key roles and
responsibilities of each personal attributes are discussed below.
● Excellent time management skills

In this present century, a corporate accountant is playing a major role to manage overall
business-related activities properly. Thus, excellent time management skill is highly helpful for
organizing the project work within the allocated time. Moreover, incorporate time management
skill helps complete the project within the time without any delay. As commented by Shafer
(2015), in the job advertisement it has mentioned that time management skills are required for
applying the post-corporate accountant.
● Communication skills
Apart from time management skill, effective communication skills are also a very important
activity which helps make decisions in any situation by communication with other staff within
the organization. Besides, Usha Rani & Gundavajhala (2016) has suggested that to mitigate the
communication gap and build healthy relationships among all the employees, this mentioned
skill is needed positively. Furthermore, a better innovative and creative activity will be done by
interacting with more number of employees. As a result of this, every person can share their
possible ideas which are effective for properly enhancing the business activities.
● Creative thinking skills
To be a successful corporate accountant, creative thinking skills are also important for
incorporating any new innovative ideas within the job role. In spite of having several attributes,
creative thinking activity helps deliver various unique solutions over any issue. It has been
identified that if a corporate accountant is losing their creativity skill then, it may negatively
affect the overall business activity. Thus, it is also a major attribute for being a successful
corporate accountant.
● Highly organized

Corporate accountant needs to develop their highly organized skill which is essential for
managing the business-related activities including hiring employees, financial profit and loss
amount, and employees’ performance actively. As stated by Köroglu & Ersöz (2015), if an
organization is well organized, the probability of facing critical condition may decrease due to
the strong bonding of the employees. Thus, it will be highly beneficial for improving business
activities within the organization.
6. Discuss the academic and professional qualifications of a corporate
accountant
It has been identified that various academic qualifications are needed to be a corporate
accountant. Moreover, it has mentioned in the job advertisement that a bachelor and an
equivalent degree in accounting or finance is required for applying this postpositively. In other
words, proper computer skills are also needed. Moreover, communication skills, analytical skills,
finance activity are also mentioned in every advertisement. Agyemang et al. (2016) have
commented that to manage the finance-related activities, diploma in accounting or business
degree is highly required for applying the senior accountant post.
On the other hand, several professional qualifications are also required for job roles.
Having more than 5 years of accounting and analysis experience is required to eligible for the
post regarding senior accountant, accountant, staff accountant, and general ledger accountant.
Also, more than 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience along with around 5 years
experience in industrial activity is needed for applying the post on the internal accountant. Odia
