Introduction:
It is evident from different studies that every year, several persons in New South Wales
(NSW) experience cases of violence. They experience such instances at the hands of someone
they trust and know. Such individuals always comprise of husband, partner, relative or member
of their families (Spangaro, 2017). In most towns along with rural regions, domestic as well as
family violence (DFV) is tarnishing lives of individuals. Australian authority has concentrated on
the idea of stopping such problem by delivering essential approaches that place victim at center
of scheme to deal with brutality among families. In such systems, victims have the appropriate
chance of receiving the much-needed services and support for their wellbeing. Besides, instances
of DFV remain to be chief welfare along with health concern (Hunter, Botfield, Robertson, &
McGeechan, 2017). It happens across all ages together with all social economic and
demographic groups, but it predominantly affects children and women around society. Hence,
this research proposal is a guide to study and resources on DVF in NWS as it intends to bring the
update to previous findings of other examiners (Ghafournia, 2017). Nevertheless, DFV has been
a serious concern that affects millions around global community.
Significance of study
Domestic as well as family violence in most cases is recognizing to be the major social
issue around the community. In NSW, the issue of DFV is overwhelmingly committed by
different men or husbands against their women (Arathi & Athira, 2017). This study will be
significant as it will aid in showing the frequency together with ways in which DFV occur in
NSW. It concentrates on idea of outlining intervention plan that is referred by many to be Men’s
Behavior Change Plan (MBCP) along with its effectiveness among perpetrators. This study will

determine prevalence of domestic and family violence among men. It will aim at giving a
concrete answer as to why man has the major responsibility to end the issue of DFV around the
community where they reside (Struthers, Tilbury, & Williams, 2017). The study will aim to
demonstrate how DFV severely affects wellbeing not only among victims but the entire society
Rationale of the study for social workers
Cases of brutalities among victims lead to negative effects on their health together with
development. Domestic violence happens across all customs, groups of ages, socio-financial
class, and demographic associations. The majority of DFV research has been done from the
qualitative approach. This is commonly due to the tough inherent in conducting qualitative
research with the population that has experienced instances of traumatic events (Sveticic,
McPhedran, & De Leo, 2013). Hence, through this study, society can be able to establish how it
is responsibilities of men to end cases of DFV. The study will determine some of the basic
techniques that can be formed from behaviors of men to end DFV.
Objective of research
The overall aim or target of this qualitative research will be to examine how it is
responsibility of men to end cases of DFV. The study aims at exploring cases of DFV in NSW
by examining how men affect such concerns.
Research question
More specifically, this survey will target at answering the following examination surveys.
Primary question

Is it a man's responsibility to end domestic and family violence?
Secondary questions
Some of the common questions in this study would be to address
i. Are there direct implications of DFV on the perpetrators of DFV?
ii. What are the factors that promote instances of DFV in NSW?
These significant research inquiries will ultimately aid the primary objective of the plan.
These questions will be useful in revealing some of the underlying rationales for men to either
end cases of DFV or continue with such activities within the society. Therefore, answers from
these survey inquiries will stay to be vital in the provision of the necessary options or schemes
that any man can follow in order to end instances of domestic and family violence (Michailovič
& Giedrytė-Mačiulienė, 2016). Society can then follow findings from this survey to learn
necessary aspects that increase or reduce instances of DFV in NSW.
Scope of study
This research follows every result of different researchers on domestic together with
family violence. It is apparent from various reports that appropriate behaviours and actions of
men can be vital aspects in ending instances of DFV. The outcome of this study can help in
filling the void that exists on how DFV can be eliminated as a way of improving lives of affected
individuals (Sutherland, Easteal, Holland, & Vaughan, 2019). The survey can be done in
different societies that basically have huge number of female and children so as to come up with
best ideas of improving health of affected individuals.
