Introduction
A good leader is considered to be a person who is capable of motivating the others in
the organization by communicating with them in an effective manner. The leaders are those
who are able to interact with their followers in an effective manner so that the organizational
objectives can be achieved. The good leaders are thereby able to provide the highest level of
motivation to the employees or the subordinates. The effective leaders also possess the
qualities of an effective and good communicator (Forbes.com. 2018).
Discussion
Paragraph 1 – Qualities of an effective leader
The effective leaders need to possess some specific qualities which can help them in
creating a positive and efficient team. The first major quality of an effective leader is the
level of intelligence that is possessed by him. Intelligence is considered to be the mental
ability of thinking in a scientific manner and analyse the issues in an accurate manner so that
the solutions can be suggested (Management Leadership for Tomorrow. 2018). The maturity
level and the physical attributes of the leaders help in the determination of the personality and
acts as an important factor of leadership. The emotional stability of the leaders need to be
quite high and they need to have a stable temperament (Entrepreneur. 2018). The new ideas
of the employees need to be welcomed by the leader so that they can be encouraged to
provide their best services to the organization. The effective leaders also need to possess a
clear insight and vision of the operations of the organization. The leaders are further able to
communicate the vision to the employees or his subordinates in the company (Global
Leadership Foundation. 2018). The effective leaders are capable of providing motivation to
the employees or the members of the group. The leaders can be effective if they are
responsible in nature. The reliability and responsibility are two major qualities that are

possessed by a good and effective leader (Wsj.com. 2018). The leaders in this case are able to
take the responsibility of the decisions that are taken by the teams within the organization.
The various teams are influenced by the ways by which the leaders behave and manage the
effectiveness of the members of these teams (Cmo.com.au. 2018).
Paragraph 2 – Qualities of an effective leader
The leaders or the managers of the teams need to open minded and capable of
accepting and adopting new ideas. The ideas need to accommodate the viewpoints of the
employees or the opinions that they have regarding the organizational processes. The good
leaders need to have confidence regarding the ways by which they operate within the
organization. This is important for the purpose of creating the confidence among the
employees and the ways by which they are able to motivate the followers (Company 2018).
The social understanding is an important attribute of the effective type of leaders. They are
able to create a positive relationship with the other leaders and the employees or subordinates
who are working under them. The honesty and trustworthiness of the leaders is an important
attribute which helps in the proper management of the employees. The leaders thereby need
to be able to take risks and further try to create a winning atmosphere in the organization. The
setting of priorities is also an important part of the effective leadership based process (CNBC.
2018). The leaders of the organization also need to be focussed on their targets and the goals
that have been set by the management. The time and ways of completing various tasks is an
important part of the effective leadership of the people who are a part of the organization.
The leaders thereby need to set the timelines for the members of their team or the employees
so that the goals and the objectives can be achieved in an effective manner. The levels of self-
knowledge of the leaders also needs to be quite high. The leaders need to have capabilities to
be humorous and continue the organizational processes in an effective manner (ABC News.
