QUANTITATIVE MANAGEMENT- DECISION MAKING1
Memo
To: The Vice-President
From: Bonnie Muio
Date:
Thunderbird Manufacturing Company
Subject- Requirements for The Business Game
In response to the current situation, the launch of the new gaming product of The Business Game
requires a proper estimate of the costs and the space to be occupied. It is seen that The New
Business Game requires a concrete estimate of the material costs. The need of the hour is to look
into these areas and the reliable suppliers to ensure the proper implementation of the new game.
While one of the suppliers, named, Magnum Plastics had promised to supply the products of The
Business Game at a quote of $23 per unit of finished products, it is seen that the quality does not
match to the standard. Further, Magnum Plastics had also harped upon the late delivery. It is also
estimated that the demands for Business Game can reach to 3600 units per month. In order to
accomplish this, 50 square meters of space is required to accommodate the for assembly
operations. In many cases, inadequate investments in additional space can lead to problems
(Autio et al. 2018). Attention should be laid on the fact that for the new product to pave its way
to success, it is important to collate the efforts of the workers for assembly operations.
It is requested to collate the attention and efforts of every employee to take into consideration the
changes that need to be devised and incorporated. The cooperation of the Vice-President is
desirable and needed.
