QUESTION & ANSWER1
Q1A.
The main risk area in the case-study is that there is no supporting person that can help in
coping with the family issues. The case-study speaks about Lucinda whose first child Emily was
born when Lucinda was in her second year in her university. Since Jerome was the only one in
the family who was working, these lead Lucinda to leave her studies. Lucinda was exhausted and
weak when she gave birth to Emily; she wanted her mother to visit her to help her take care of
Emily, but due to lack of money she could not buy her a ticket and Jerome’s family used to live
far away (Ferrell & Kravitz, 2017).
Q1B.
The intervention will consist of a community nurse and a child daycare. The community
nurse can provide prenatal-care for Lucinda’s second child. The community nurse can have a
friendly check-in by giving a call or can visit Lucinda when she is living alone. The community
nurse can organize for organizations who can deliver proper meal at home (Smolowitz et al.,
2015). The role of the daycare will be to take care of Emily during the morning time. Then it will
help Lucinda to again start her studies. After her second child is born she can also send her
second child to the daycare, which will assure and give a peace of mind to Lucinda knowing that
her children are safe while they she is not at home (Back & Kim, 2017).
