c. The mean, median, mode for both types of the restaurants
The mean is the average value of the distribution, the mode is the
most occurring value and the median is the center value of the
distribution (Levie, 2018). The values of this measures for both the
restaurants are summarized in the table below:

a. The dataset collected by the manager is a sample since it indicates
the annual advertising expenditure and the annual sales of selected
products from the supermarket rather than all the products. A sample
is group of data that is a representative of the population while a
population is all the data collected from all the individuals to be
studied.
