National health services (NHS) work as a commission board and this is an executive non-
departmental public body related with social and health care. This also overseas about budget
and day-to-day operation performed by NHS according to guidelines of Health and social care
act, 2012. In simple terms, each individual is responsible for their own health similarly, NHS is
responsible to prevent and minimise health inequalities in order to promote healthy living in
society. SWOT model or framework is appropriate for understand internal factors of NHS and it
also support management to engage and implement healthy standards in each individual life by
offering effective health services to individual or patient.

INTRODUCTION
NHS (National Health Service) stand as an executive non-departmental public
organisation which engaged activities related with department of health and social care. The
main role is to oversee the budget, delivery, planning and day-to-day operation of
commissioning side of NHS exists in England and the laws related with social care came under
the Health and Social care act, 2012. NHS England and NHS improvement perform their work
together by establishing themselves as a single organisation and it support NHS for delivering
better and enriched or value-added care of patients. Local health system is supported by the
regional team and they play a crucial role in geographic or region in which NHS their health
improvement services. The trust selected for this report is University hospital NHS foundation
trust. Moreover, this report highlights on SWOT analysis that advises management of trust to
improve and enhance their performance (Waterson, 2014). Long term plan is developed for
delivery of effective care services for reducing the number of diseases, eradication of health
inequality and providing digital first care.
MAIN BODY
University hospital NHS foundation trust is established in London, England and this is one
of the largest NHS trust in England. In the context of better health services Imperial College
London formulate an academic health service centre. Trust was established in October 2007 and
it was merger of Hammersmith hospital NHS trust and ST Mary’s NHS trust by integrating with
Imperial college faculty of Medicine. In the present scenario, there are more than five hospital
controlled and managed by NHS trust.
SWOT Analysis
The term SWOT analysis is explained as a framework which is used for evaluating an
organisation competitive position and also to develop and formulate strategic plans to complete
all organisation work in an appropriate manner specifically by using their strength and overcome
from weakness (Summerton, 2018). Along with this SWOT framework aids to achieve
opportunities as a first mover advantage that helps to retain at top position in market. Further,
threats are also minimised by analysing them with use of SWOT factors and it explain about
strategic planning method. It also explains about all requirements and specification of services
that inherent about project and it aids with internal and external factor. With define about all
