data with regards to the project
Data collection is referred as the process of gathering an information in relation to a
particular topic or problem. Accurate and appropriate collection of the data is found as crucial for
the purpose of formulating scientific research. Data could be obtained mainly by using two major
methods or sources that is primary and the secondary sources. Primary sources involves
structuring questionnaire, conducting survey, interview etc. However secondary sources are
books, articles and the journals (Peytchev and Peytcheva, 2017). In respect of this case, primary
sources is been used in form of preparing the questionnaire for attaining response of the
customers in context of their preferences regarding the gym facilities.
Questionnaire means an instrument that comprises of series of the questions and the other
prompts with an objective of collecting an information from the participants. It is considered as
the best method for accumulating an information because it is seen as economical for sender as
well as for respondent in respect of the cost, efforts and the time. It permits for a wide coverage
in comparison to other techniques of collecting the data (Waidi, 2016). It also contains rapidity
as the replies from the respondents is been received on a quick basis and it does not require for
visiting the participant personally and continuing study for the long term.
It assist in getting out special kind of the responses that is about some personal and secret
matters that could be obtained in a best way through this method of collecting data. As when
compared t other techniques such as interview, schedule, observation etc. it is been regarded as
the most useful and the cheapest method because it involves collection of repetitive information
at regular interval of time. It is counted as an easiest technique for planning, administering and
constructing. It does not need much of technical knowledge and the skill while making the study.
It puts up very less pressure on respondents fro getting immediate responses unlike interview
demands for the particular fixation of the situation and the time. Questionnaire enables in
emphasizing an attention of the respondents on all the significant items and is used as the
preliminary tool in conducting a detailed study (Brace, 2018). With respect to validity of an
information, under this method responses given by subject are been available in its own language
and the version. It also ensure anonymity towards participants as they would have a greater level
