NETWORKING METHODS
Networking Methods_1

Description
There several design methods that can be used to implement different network topologies. This
report aims at finding different types of methods that can implement a given network. The pros
and cons of these designs are also explained in this section. The following are some of the design
methods that are used in the design and implementing different networks.
The hierarchical network design model
This is the type of method that is mainly applied in implementing enterprse network systems.
The design is made up of 3 layers which are, core, access, and distribution layer. The core level
is the first layer is the one that accomplishes all the system operations like routing. It is the one
that provides optimal transports between different sites in the network (Wang, Huang, Zhang,
Zhang, & Wu,2017). The distribution layer is the second layer that is used to provide a policy-
based connection between the two other layers. Finally, access is the one that is used to provide
user access to the network as the name suggests.
The method has following cons and pros.
Pros.
Expansion of the network system is easier.
A large number of users can connect to it without causing problems.
It rarely fails due to backup plans that are available.
It can be designed easily.
It has high security.
Cons
It is a bit expensive since requires a lot of materials to be implemented
