INTRODUCTION
Racism refers to the process whereby a particular individual is
discriminated against by the other members of the society as a
consequence of his or her skin tone (Schapiro, Schoenfeld & Thomas,
2016).
This is significant to understand because racism therefore can be
considered as a form of social evil which has psychological
underpinnings.

DEFINITION OF
INDIVIDUAL RACISM
Individual racism is a kind of personal racism whereby the aspect of
racism is inherent within the personal actions and beliefs of the people
(Flynn Jr, 2015) .
As a result, it can be seen that individual racism is more internalized
within the people and it is based on the kind of prejudice they hold
against the other members of the society (Golash-Boza, 2016).
