RADIOLOGY DEPARTMENT
List of Achievements as Radiology Technology Supervisor
Since 2017, I have been serving as the radiology technologist supervisor in the
radiology departments of oncology hospital and communicable disease center. For the past
two years of my service in this post, I have tried my best to fulfil all the major responsibilities
competently and in compliance with organizational policies. The very key aspect of my job
responsibility was to supervise the staff and achieve human resource objectives for the
radiology department. To ensure this, I ensured employee selection, orientation, training,
scheduling, disciplining, counselling, coaching and assigning for different coordinated
services of the radiology department. I oversaw their operation of imaging equipment, such
as fluoroscopes, computerized tomography, x-ray and magnetic resonance imaging. To
ensure that the radiology operation standards are met, I conducted frequent reviews on
different aspects such as productivity, resolving problems, patient-service standards,
identification of system improvements and the quality of production (England et al., 2017).
The review results helped me to induce relevant changes in the employee's need for the
department, all done in strict adherence to organizational policies and procedure guidelines.
Monthly statistical reports were provided to all the staff of the department, which was based
on the collection of clinical data and treatment. For the department functions, I took steps in
maintaining a quality assurance program and ensured that the incoming patients were given
quality support in their radiology issues with ancillary staff, radiology technologists,
radiologists, and physicians. For the past two years, I tried improving the department’s
radiology results quality by conducting a regular evaluation of quality and accuracy of
images and implemented new technologies along with adherence to latest procedures,
techniques and equipment. Technical assistance was provided to the radiology technologists
to keep them updated with the latest practice in the field. For the radiology department, it is
important that the safety of the patients and staff remains the highest priority. I made sure to

monitor radioactive exposure of the patients and staff and regularly updated the radium
record logs. Whenever required, I controlled the radium handling and loading techniques and
supervised the staff working with it. During the two years of stay in the radiology
technologists supervisor post in the radiology department, I offered training to the radiology
technology students and ensured that they understood their technical responsibilities with the
help of clinical rotations. I stayed coherent with the use of transformational leadership for
superior staff management skills and ensured diplomatic conflict resolution with the help of
my critical thinking proficiency skills. I protected and served the hospital community by
ensuring strict adherence to hospital policies & procedures, professional standards, local,
state and federal requirements (Donner et al., 2017). In addition to all this, I identified
variances while monitoring expenditures, which helped me to recommend corrective actions
for the department and conclude the annual budget information to meet financial standards.
Accepting ownership of the post’s responsibility helped me to enhance the reputation of the
hospital and radiology department.
