INTRODUCTION
A personal statement is written for a specific purpose for admission in university or
college. Basically, it is written by student to get admission in desired university. In this there are
many things described as it included reason, background, objectives, etc. This makes it easy to
understand what student want to opt for (Bezjak and et.al., 2015) . It also helps in identifying
what things are to be done. The statement is written to give insight about a person purpose for
admission. Similarly, in this report a personal statement is written. This is in context of radio
therapy and for admission in undergraduate.
In future technology will play a crucial role in health care industry. It will benefit in
improving quality of care and providing effective treatment. Also, the use of technology will
result in emerging new areas in medicine. Moreover, the use of AI and IOT in technology has
enabled in creating vast number of opportunities for students to make their career in it. Many
new things are included in medical field. With this many universities and colleges are offering
wide number of courses. There is also high chances that use of technology in medicine and
health care will generate more job opportunities. I think that in coming 5- 10 years there will be
high growth in health care sector. In different sectors there will be demand of highly skilled and
professional people (Bibault, Giraud and Burgun, 2016). They will be required to handle and
manage complicated task and activities. Alongside it, highly skilled people are needed to
understand things and learn new skills and knowledge. Furthermore, they will apply those skills
and knowledge in providing care services. It has also been analysed by me that student interest is
changing as well. They are been diverting towards providing care services and social work.
Medicine and technology has lead to rise in many new jobs. However, universities are initiating
higher studies in medicine. There is need to chose proper career to become successful (Recht and
et.al., 2016). For this goals and objectives are to be set. It allows things to change when there are
ways related to it. Moreover, medicine is a field where things critical thinking skills is required
to learn. It also requires effective skills such as communication, decision making, etc.
Radiotherapy uses the high energy rays for example to treat cancer rays (Bristow and
et.al., 2018). It destroys the cancer cells within an area. Some normal cells within the areas are
also damaged through Radiotherapy. These are the normal cells which able repair themselves
but at the same time cancer cells not.

Radiotherapy always planned carefully through a team of experts. Radiotherapy treatment is
also become more accurate. This allows team members to treat the cancer more carefully as well
as effectively. This can be done a little harm to the cells of the body.
Radiotherapy is given to damage or destroy the tumour or cure the cancer. It is called as radical
treatment as well. It can be given to the patients after surgery for some kind of cancer as it make
easier for the team to remove it. It can be given to the patients to lower the risks of the cancer
coming back to the human body. This is known as the Adjuvant radiotherapy (Gillison and et.al.,
2019). It is also given before surgery so that it shrink cancer as well as make it easier to remove.
It is also called as neo-adjuvant radiotherapy.
Palliative radiotherapy.
this radiography is used to shrink the cancer as well as assist with the symptoms for exam, pain
and coughing. This can be suggested by the doctors when curing of the cancer is impossible.
There are two kinds of giving radiotherapy
External beam radiotherapy – It can be given to the outer body or externally through a
radiotherapy machine.
Internal radiotherapy- It is give when radioactive material is placed inside within the body. It si
known as the brachytherapy .
Sometimes Chemotherapy is also given simultaneously as radiotherapy. It is called as Chemo
radiotherapy. It is used as the anticancer drugs to able to destroy the cancer cells. They are able
to make the cancer cells more sensitive .It assist the radiotherapy to work better .It is only helpful
for a particular type of cancer. So this is not appropriate for everyone. It can be harmful if it is
given together the radiotherapy and chemotherapy together.
A person needs to be effective enough to pursue career in medicine. This is because it
requires high level IQ to learn something new. Also, I realized that in medicine if more is done
then knowledge has to be improved. Thus, it needs regular learning skills to be adopted in
medicine. Doctors play a significant role in saving people life. They identify disease and
accordingly provide health care services. Moreover, a doctor is like God to people. They are
having many responsibilities which a doctor performs. It has to be change in things which makes
it easy to get it done. Moreover, medicine is branch of health care. In that many people are
working who performs variety of job roles (Bristow and et.al., 2018). It also includes other skills

and knowledge. Likewise, in medicine there are many other job roles which has been evolved
due to use of technology. Here, many activities are performed to provide support to patients.
Apart from it, with rise in rate of disease and patient, new ways of treatment and offering care
services are emerged. So, new experiments are been done and applied in developing medicine. In
my view it is expected that in future integration of medicine and technology will create
employment. The major areas will be related to curing of diseases such as cancer, AIDS, etc. In
recent times many students are pursuing their career in medicine. It has provided a platform to
built a successful career in it. Similarly, one of my friend is also initiated his career development
in medicine (Recht and et.al., 2016). Thus, it has attracted me as well to grow my career. I
realised that there are many youngsters who are entering in medicine field. Due to this many
other students are planning to pursue their career as well. I analysed that it is essential for me to
choose a particular area or field in medicine that is capable for my skills and abilities.
I like the way doctors and nurses provides health care services to people. There is need to
get things done in proper way and ensure that procedure is followed. In my professional and
personal life there is a great role of doctor in motivating me. I like to work for social cause and
feel overwhelmed in helping people. Since, childhood I have seen doctors and workers treating
patients and providing them services (Cibula and et.al., 2018). Thus, from it I have been
influenced by their way of working. I think that medicine is suitable field for me because it will
help me to pursue my career in it. This is because I am also having interest in doing medicine
and engage in social work. I find it very interesting to read about therapy and medicine. With this
I will be able to gain knowledge and learn more about it. I want to explore more in this area. It
will help me to analyse things and apply it. Furthermore, I find that medicine is perfect field for
me as I will be able to enjoy life and interact with people. I chose this field by evaluating several
options. For this I set certain criteria and then on basis of it compared options. The main thing
that was useful for me was to continue with my career objective. As I belong to nursing
background it was easy for me to continue. In addition, I analysed future results as well of
specific field.
As I have done diploma in nursing it will benefit me in selecting Radiation as stream. In
that I have learned many things about nursing topics such as care plan, support, using
technology, etc. also, I have learned skills and gained knowledge that will help me to improve
my current knowledge. Furthermore, I want to learn more about it. while doing diploma I

realised and observed many things as well. I learned that after diploma there are other areas
available where career can be developed (Gillison and et.al., 2019). Besides this, there are other
things related to it. As nursing is board area there are many options available n it. So, it depends
on person interest that which area is to be chose. In addition, it also depends on what learning
and knowledge is been learned by that person. The hobbies of person reflect what he or she
should go or pursue in future. There are a lot of things that can be learned in medicine. It requires
specific skill and things for doing so. An example can be taken of a doctor. He has to deal with
many patients daily. For that particular skills is required to make things easy.
I think that in future there will be high scope of nursing and health care industry. This is
because many people are suffering from disease so more workforce will be required to serve
them. For providing care services abilities is needed.
During worked in 3 years from hospital as ICU in charge, I always inspired with my own
work and how enjoy to help other people. In this way, I could build my own interest towards the
daily activities of hospital. It always self-motivates and encourage towards my goals and
achievement. I could learn about medicine which fascinate about skill to understand about new
things which directly impact on my own life (Bohari and et.al., 2019). After doing my job, I feel
relax to spend some time with family and friends. I was plagued by memories of young patient,
had discharged home. My experience always being increase confidence level and encourage to
build strong career. On other side, I also consult with desk operation that will shape my future
growth. It helps me to understand the need and requirement of patients. It has been an education
in terms of humility, gratitude and patience. As per experience, I had met the young patients who
was suffering from the dangerous diseases. I found that they were faced many problem and fight
battle with diseases but being professional I always try to inspire and give confidence so as they
can handle critical situation in proper manner. Being in charge, I have prescribed various type of
chemotherapy session in my own career but there were still surprise for me. The biggest things, I
have leaning, who makes differences (Clemons, Mazzarello and Julião, 2019). Whenever doctor
give prescription, I always felt to perform significant role and assists to interact with patient and
smile. I also spend lot of time among patients and give proper medicine or treatment as per
doctor prescription. Sometimes, in absence of doctor, I have given complementary therapy and
offers reflexology.

As per my opinion, I was great experience and inspire myself to increase interest towards
radiotherapy oncology. This type of process applicable in treatment of cancer and give therapy
by using high energy radiation to directly damage cells of cancer. I could determine during ICU
in charge where doctor has followed process in step by step to give treatment through radiology
therapy. Sometimes, I have seen the extreme pain of patient which brings tear in my eyes and I
hadn’t experienced before this type of situation (Croke, Milne and Heeneman, 2019). In this
way, doctors are suggested and give permission of patient to use radiology technique for cure
their diseases. This was really new for me understand overall procedures of medical treatment. I
have found that doctor provide this type of therapy, who are suffering from cancer disease. It
always motivates my own experience to become attracted. I also discovered that during therapy,
patient face many critical situations and condition such as hair loss. I have been guilty of
handling over wig as patient walk out of hospital. As per experience, it has changed overall
identity of patient. I was not just surprising for me about the chemotherapy because I know very
well when happens at the time of treatment but I always give consolation of patient to increase
their confidence level and encouragement (Raaschou, Pilegaard and Danielsen, 2019). I could
identify that doctor must predict the treatment but it was tough for trying fit hose work and also
spending time with friends and family. Apart from that I also understand about the radiotherapy
oncology because This type of radio logy therapy always attracted towards for me. I found in
my medical professional, there are large number of patients have successfully treated with
radiation therapy (Mendoza and et.al., 2019). I believe that it has combined with the different
imaging technology based on computerized which easier for doctor to identify proper planning
of treatment. I also used in ICU where passing high energy X-rat machine to make proper
treatment. In this way, my past experience will motivate and inspire me at that time in order to
take study about radiology ontology. My aim is to give proper health care services to the people,
who will suffer from dangerous diseases so that it becoming great motivation to improve my
own skill and knowledge in this field or area.
Therefore, I have decided to do professional course under the radiotherapy oncology for
enhancing own career. I also believed that this type of under graduate course definitely inspire or
motivate to develop my career in medical field. It will give me an opportunity to learn new
things and improve my own capabilities (Raaschou, Pilegaard and Danielsen, 2019). After doing
job in hospital for three years and realize that I could dedicated towards the medical professional

and love to spend lot of time in patients. I realized that this professional makes me feel happy
and enjoy my own work. In regardless, this type of specialty always overwhelmed with the
options to choose this field to improve my capabilities and abilities. As per my personal
experience, I understand that whatever people can do in their own life which always inspired
with past experience. In my case, it also same thing happen to me for developing interest in
terms of radiology ontology. It being great pleasure to achieve my dreams through career
enhancement in medical fields. At beginning, I always focused on my career but my working
experience help for me to understand that what I want in my life.
On the other hand, I could understand about the concept of radiology therapy which are
prescribed by many oncologists because it is painless treatment therapy to cure chronic diseases
such as cancer. In order for someone to call themselves as oncologist so they need require to
attend the education in particular field and will take medical degree. In this way, I have decided
to complete my education in radiology ontology filed and take certification but for me I have
completed the residency in the subspecialty of medicine to pass all challenging through technical
and clinical competencies. I have planning to complete the under graduation in radiology
oncology and being as oncologist to give facilities of patient, who are really required for
radiology treatment. In this way, I also received the licensed to do practice, internal medicine and
use radiology procedure for treatment (Scheide, Huber and Kreiser, 2019). I want to spend a time
in eight weeks as medical student to learning many things. this was my first experience of
medical fields and after sometimes, I realized to increase my interest to study in different modern
techniques such as radio therapy oncology and therapeutic radiography. It enables my
competencies which recognizing the symptoms and identify own ability to give better treatment
facilities to patient. I have been spending quality of time to interact with people to identify their
problem and issues in proper manner.
Furthermore, as per personal experience that medical professionals related to the humanity,
growing, facing challenges and learning in every day life. whether challenges are based on
physically or mentally. In this way, I have found more safer, easier and efficient technique used
such as radiology ontology. It becoming advanced technique with painless procedures follows
which may perform different task according to requirement (Scheide, Huber and Kreiser, 2019).
I have decided from moving to the field and study about the radiology which are following the
systematic process of working and viewing human body without breaking skin. In my personal

experience, I have found that it able to diagnose and treat diseases without injuries so that there
are demands in global world. I also inspired with the process which develop my own experience
to track all details about the blood flows and overall metabolic system of human tissues. My past
experience will be boosting my current confidence level which useful for myself to handle any
situation in proper manner. My current study not enough in term of advanced medical
professional so that I want to enable do my academic education for further gain more knowledge
in context of mathematics, biology as well as phycology. I did diploma in nursing in 10 year
back and afterwards, I did enjoy my healthcare professional which make me more interest in
terms of medicine.
My parents also support for me to do undergraduate in radiology and always motivate
towards career development. sometimes, I feel that medical professional plays important role in
my life because I have learnt so many things and also adopts in daily life.
in past years, when I was child visited many time hospitals with my family and very excited
that how doctors give therapy to patient (Scheide, Huber and Kreiser, 2019). At starting, I don’t
understand what happened but always thought that how people go to hospital. I have no
experience in my childhood days but I realize after years and now joining as ICU in charge in
hospital after completion of diploma.
As my education belongs to science field it will support me in my academic. I can easily learn
and gain knowledge in different subjects that are biology, mathematics and phycology.
Moreover, I am already having a good command on other subjects as well like English. So, with
help of it, I will be able to easily learn things. Thus, I am already motivated in becoming a
professional (Guckenberger and et.al., 2019). I want to learn more about medicine. My interest is
completely shifted towards medical. While doing diploma I sharpened my core subjects that is
bio, mathematics. Now, I can easily judge people behavior and needs. I have trained my mind in
such a way that I can deal with people. My interest is to work with cancer patients and provide
them care. Also, I want to improve my skills and knowledge. I am capable of pursing my career
in this field. With this I can enjoy my life. As I want to help people and fulfil their needs. I want
to work for them. This is because I enjoy mt work that is helping people. I get a relief or positive
energy by heling them. Also, I want to do things in perfect way. It provides a feeling of
satisfaction. Apart from it, I like to learn new things and skills. It is because it helps to know
more about different topics and subject. By helping people, I can improve their social life.

Through this, I can become a role model of them. Furthermore, I will be able to bring change in
their life. This makes it easy in getting things done and treating people. Alongside it, I can give
and provide better medical facilities to them. I can grasp more knowledge related to radiology.
By working in hospital I learned a lot of things like how to communicate, how to treat patients,
what are symptoms, etc. thus, I can utilize these in my career plan. This will help me in
becoming a successful professional in my area. Herrera, Bourhis and Coukos, 2017). I have
learned many things related to health care sector that has boosted my confidence level. It has
benefited me to apply it in different situations. I like to enjoy my profession. But I want to bring
some change in my life. Thus, I decided to shift my career goals and pursue radiology. This is
my own decision to shift it. Apart from that I also understand about the radiotherapy oncology
because This type of radio logy therapy always attracted towards for me. I found in my medical
professional, there are large number of patients have successfully treated with radiation therapy.
My childhood also helped me in pursuing this career. It is because I visited hospital several times
where I saw how people are treated. There are many reasons due to which I will become a
successful professional. I have found that doctor provide this type of therapy, who are suffering
from cancer disease (Lambin and et.al., 2017). It always motivates my own experience to
become attracted. I also discovered that during therapy, patient face many critical situations and
condition.
CONCLUSION
From statement it can be concluded that the person has done diploma in nursing 10 years
ago. Also, he has worked from past 3 years in hospital as ICU incharge. But at present he is
working in NH hospital from 9 months. Beside this, his interest is in helping people and
providing them social service. However, he is a good communicator as he knows three languages
that are Hindi, English and Gujrati. In addition, he wants to save people life by creating a
positive impact. Thus, all these qualities and capabilities enable in pursuing a career in radiation
therapy.
