Introduction/ background to the research area
Gender equality is the equal management and access of female and male employees to
opportunities and business resources. It includes giving equal possibilities of pay raises,
promotions and inclusion within decision-making processes (Mo and Shi, 2017). Along with
this, leadership introduces to the process of influencing and attracting an organised group
towards attaining a goal, while management is more about managing and making sure the daily
basis activities are happening as they should. Leadership and management at workplace play an
important role in promoting gender quality within an organisation. Unipart Group Limited is a
chosen multinational supply chain, logistic, consultancy and manufacturing organisation. It was
founded in 1974 by John Neill, John Egan and headquartered in Oxford, United Kingdom. Main
purpose of preparing this research is to analysis significance of leadership and management in
promoting of gender equality in the workplace.
Research Question
How leadership and management are effective in promoting of gender equality at
workplace of Unipart Group Limited?
Sub-questions of research

Research Aim:
Main aim of this research is “To explore the role of leadership and management in
promoting gender equality in the workplace of an organisation. A study on Unipart Group
Limited.
Research Objectives:
To identify the importance of gender equality in leadership and management of Unipart
Group Limited.
