QUESTION 1CaseMr James Cox is a 79 year old man who suffered a stroke and recently damaged theposterior part of his brain. Individual has fallen down in kitchen and his frontal bone has gotfractured. After his accident he was unable to pay attention on anything and was in confusingstate. Patient has been admitted to rehabilitation centre for treatment. Medical professorial wasfacing trouble in providing him treatment because due to accidents cognitive ability of the persongot affected. That is why individual is unable to concentrate on rehabilitation programs. Diagnoses assessment and determining cognitive dysfunctionIn the case of James Cox, patient is suffering from stroke (Solms, 2014). In suchcondition blood supply in brain get affected due to which patient actual level of consciousnessget affected, that creates confusion situation for the patient. That happens in the case of Jamescox. Due to accidents his forehead bone has got fractured but stroke is the main reason of his badhealth. In this disease individual face onset of weakness and half part of body fail to performwell. Same happens in the case of James as well that is why he fallen down in kitchen. As inrehabilitation centre he was unable to concentrate because in stroke patients vision can get lostpartially thus, individual fail to concentrate on one thing properly (Parkin and Leng, 2014). Thus,it can be said that stroke is the main reason of cognitive dysfunction in Mr. James Cox.Furthermore, age is another major reason for the condition of patient. As individual is 79 yearold in this age brain of individual fail to perform well and if small accidents occur then it impactsbadly on brain and entire body. While planning for the diagnoses of the patients , medicalprofessionals have to consider necessary these factors. These elements are such as age, mentalstatus, body responding capacity etc. By this way doctors can be able to provide correcttreatment to the person so that individual can get recover from their medical illness.MEASURE ATTENTION AND GENERAL COGNITIVE ABILITESAs due to stroke and old age brain of Mr. James is unable to perform properly. Individualis now faced difficulty in understanding speech and concentrate on the program. Thus, it impactsnegatively on ability to participate in rehabilitation programs. People over 55 year face high risk
