INTRODUCTION
In mental health care sector recovery is now the most important aspect of consideration and
implementation with some recovery care practices in order to support the person for recovery
from their mental illness and improve their life with better living style (Hornik‐Lurie, T., 2018).
The term recovery was first developed from the health care and other service consumers moment
in the 1970s and 1980s. In this report recovery-oriented practices are going to be consider along
with the analysis of purpose and domain of the recovery (Morrissey, Doyle, and Higgins, 2018).
Principles of the mental health act is going to be evaluate in context to the ROP. Then these
recovery-oriented theories going to be understood and implement in context to the specific patient
case.

The term recovery was developed from the consumer movement due to their needs for
improvement, betterment which should be more than the professional’s job. this term was
affected the mental health care practices and force to make changes. Recovery is the process of
getting better from medical condition and illness (Baek, 2020) . Then in context to that recovery
model is developed which is involving the recovery-oriented practices, this term is promoting the
relationship with consumer and mental health professional, this is involving the patient self-
efforts and practices for their improvement along with the need of partnership professionals
support which help in the recovery by developing the holistic approach. Recovery oriented
practices is developed due influence of recovery terms in context to clinical and non-clinical
practises. So, the recovery-oriented practice now known or use as the approach to mental health
care which involves the principles of individual care and self-determination along with the
partnership of health care professionals and family. This approach is involving its most important
aspect such as the hope, social inclusion, goal setting and self-management (Edan, V., 2019).
According to the recovery literature it has been found that this is giving the importance to
the partnership and coaching between consumers and mental health professionals, due to which
this has influenced the movement of pathological view of mental health problem to the person-
centred care approach, which is also known as the holistic care approach in order to build the
