Time management Strategies Managing the time is the biggest issue at the workplace. The employees and the working staff members at Travelodge are facing the issues in the respect of completing the work on the deadlines that are set by the top management. I observed that, the management of this hotel is exercising a conscious control over the time which is spent by the managers and the working staff members on various activities. By managing the time, I along with the management of Travelodge is able to maintain discipline and punctuality in the organisation. Following are the steps that are adopted by me to complete the work in the given deadlines.Prioritization: - It refers to setting the priority in respect of which work or task is to be given priority to be completed at the assigned deadline. By working, I was able toset the priorities and to complete the assigned work in the given time frame. Scheduling: - It refers to the process of arranging; controlling and optimizing the work and the work pressure. By working at Travelodge, I was able to manage thecomplete work and the workload over there. In my point of view, by accepting these strategies of time management, this organization would be able to stand in thecompetitive market.Solutions to work-based problemsThe solution in the respect of problems that are arising at Travelodge could be resolved in following ways: -Rewards And Incentives: - With the motive of holding the employees in the organization, Travel lodge can offer them, such rewards that prove to be helpful insustaining the existing employees in the organization. Travelodge can offer them, incentives that are based on their performance in the organization. The verysimple reason behind this is every individual is having a desire to gain recognition and appreciation from the top management. Proper Allocation of Work: - Work should be properly allocated to every individual in the departments they are working. In this way, it would be effective reasonbeing the people working over there gets frustrated with the workload. Communications barriers, Discrimination etc.WORK BASED PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONSCommunication StylesThere are different types of communication style used in an organization at various levels, these communication styles can be described as below – Passive – Employees who use passive communication style generally act indifferently, yielding to others. This communication style generally fails to express individual needs or feelings. Aggressive – In this type of communication style people use loud and demanding voice to interact with others, it involves intense eye contact and controlling or dominating others by criticizing, blaming, attacking or threatening. Passive aggressive – Passive aggressive communicators are interacting generally with body language or a lack of open communication to another individual. Assertive – It is one of the most effective type of communication, it features an open communication link while not being overbearing. It express ideas, feeling, desires and own needs of the communicator. For making the communication effective in the best way, the organization can take various steps. The form of communication that can be used by Travelodge such communication in written and oral form. Some of the communication methods are as follows; -Emails: - It is considered to be one of the most effective way of communication. It is not only fast but also efficient and alsoallows facilitates the user to have a look onthe recorded communications. Through this, the employees or the managers of Travelodge can send the file in any format.Video Conferencing: - It facilitates the management level personnel to have a faceto face interaction with the team members and the employees working over there.
