PART A
Introduction
Health care is a process which is dependent on many aspects and also dynamic as it
changes with time and situation. In this context, the Aboriginal health care is one of the most
complex aspect of care delivery as the process is focused on the wellbeing obtaining of the
Aboriginal people based on their life and health concepts regarding the cultural belief. In the
following section I will reflect on the learning about the Aboriginal health with the consideration
of the Gibb’s reflective cycle (Markkanen et al., 2020).
Description
Based on the learning I can find that the health concept is different in terms of World
Health Organisation developed definition of health and also in terms of the Aboriginal people.
The cultural concept of the Aboriginal people refers to the life as a whole in relation to the land.
Thus, I can find that the aspect of health and life is dependent on the environment and the
cultural belief of the people. There are other factors such as the health care models which can be
relating to the factors that shape the health care processes. However, the dance of life is the
process which encompasses the life style of the Aboriginal people.
Feelings
I feel that the learning about the Aboriginal people care would be effective for me to
know about the process care for this people. It has been seen that the effectiveness of the
Aboriginal care is dependent on the cultural competence development. Thus, I feel that the
improvement of the cultural competence factor would help me in the development of the care
competence for these people. The consideration of the health focusing on the environmental and
the social perspective of the Aboriginal people should be considered for the improvement of the

health outcome for these people. I can also find that the Aboriginal communities are comprising
of different cultural aspects and we should consider the difference of the culture along with the
cultural safety for the people to develop better health outcome as well.
Evaluation
Based on the description and feelings I can evaluate the that the learning about the
perspective of the Aboriginal care and also the effective cultural competence development is
required with higher priority. Hence, I can also state that the learning process was effective for
me and it went well as it helped me in obtaining knowledge about the Aboriginal care
procedures. I have developed the competence about the cultural safety maintenance in the health
care of the Aboriginal people. However, I need to learn more and implement the effective
cultural competence skills for the betterment of the situation. I can find that the Aboriginal care
is meeting the efficacy as per the care regulation as the cultural difference with the Aboriginal
people affecting the health acre processes for these people (Bertilone et al., 2017). Hence, I
should learn and develop the skills regarding the cultural safety and prioritise the needs of the
Aboriginal people as well.
Analysis
Based on the evaluation I can analyse that the lack of cultural competence in me can
hamper the health care of the Aboriginal people (Burgess, 2019). Hence, I should develop the
competence and the knowledge regarding the different aspects of the life and the health factor
they consider along with the general concept of same. Thus, I can state that this learning program
helped me in the development of the Idea regarding this process. It also effectively developed the
knowledge of care procedures in me.

REFLECTION
Conclusion
Based on the reflection I can conclude that the requirement of the considering the culture
for the patient care is important for all the patients. Thus, I can also state that this reflection
helped me in the identification of the positive aspect of the Aboriginal care and also the negative
factors in my knowledge and skill compliances.
Action Plan
The factor of the reflection helped me in identification of the negative aspects of my
knowledge regarding the health care of the Aboriginal people. I have learnt a number of things in
this learning program. However, I have to develop experience and knowledge for this purpose.
Hence, I should learn from the senior nurses and also effectively interact with the Aboriginal
people for the understanding about the culture of these people. On the other hand, I should also
research on the context of the Aboriginal care procedure in the country. The research would be
conducted by the literature review process.

most prominent issue for these people is the discrimination and the inequity of health care
promotion. The government has developed different health policies and tried to decrease the rate
of the discrimination in this context. However, the aspect of the health care for the Aboriginal
people has been found with discriminative behavuiour from the White people of the country. The
discrimination can be for the skin colour that is racism, for cultural difference, the socio-
economic structure (Fraser, 2018). Hence, the negative impact of the mental and the physical
impairment also can be found among the Aboriginal people as the life expectance rate is lower
among these people in comparison with the White people of the country (Rix et al., 2016). I have
learnt about the negative practice about the Aboriginal care and should develop the competence
of no discriminative care providence to these people.
Change Leader
Kristie Parker is one of the most prominent name in terms of the Aboriginal aspect of
Australia. She is a journalist and also co-chairperson of the National Congress of Australia's First
People. She works as a policy developer for the Aboriginal people health and social service
development (Rawnsley et al., 2018). It has been seen that the she had some achievements in the
process and also dedicated her life to reduce the negative impacts of the health care
discrimination and also the impaired behaviour for these people from the dominant people. She
is the member of the Reconciliation Australia and served as the improving personnel of the
health and other service related obligations of the Aboriginal people. She works as the activists
focusing on the Aboriginal health. She effectively helps the people of the Aboriginal community
and promote the health care improvement for these people (Gwynne, Jeffries & Lincoln, 2019). I

discriminative behaviour of the health care professionals. Thus, I can also find Kristie Parker as
one of the people who helps the people from the Aboriginal community. Hence, I can clearly
state that as a leader she is important and she should be provided with support for the
improvement of the situation for the people of the Aboriginal group.
Plan of Safe Care
Based on the above discussion I can find that the Aboriginal care is the factor which
should be considered with priority as it is a delicate factor. Thus, I should develop the plan of
action which can help in the improvement of the health outcome of the Aboriginal people. I have
found that Kristie Parker has already developed some health care policy for the Aboriginal
people I should help the people to be aware about the policy and also educate the people about
the healthy habits regarding the cultural perspective. I should communicate and interact with the
Aboriginal people and let them know about the importance of the health care and the healthy
lifestyle (Raman et al., 2017). I can state that the care plan of the Aboriginal people should be
developed with the consideration of the cultural competence and not harming the dignity and
respect of these people (Kirkham et al., 2018). I should also develop the clinical care regimen
that will effectively help the people to reduce the rate of the health issues. I should also provide
the patient required care with the consideration of the evidence based practice and also the
patient centred care approach in regarding with the cultural competence maintenance. Hence, it
will deliver safe care to the Aboriginal people.
Conclusion
Based on the reflection I can reflect that the process of the Aboriginal care should be
developed with the proper planning and assessment of the situation for the people. I should state
that the cultural competence and also the discrimination less care should be provided to the
